This is my first post on BrewerFan in a few years. Long days at the office and the cold weather have got me really looking forward to baseball. I visited this site twice-daily from about 2007-2010 and then periodically through 2012. Has the traffic really slowed down here in the past few years? In any case, it's good to be back. I recognize a lot of familiar posters. Happy weekend, everyone.

With the rise of Twitter, this forum isn't quite as heavily used as it used to be. However, once we get closer to the regular season starting, things usually pick up quite a bit. Anyway, glad you are here and posting.

Titan tv is streaming the WIAC wrestling conference tournament live today. Not just the finals but all the semi finals and consolation rounds. No football or baseball on and it's -2 outside yet I am in sports heaven. On break until the finals start at 3:15.

Crime is never a good thing but I find this story very interesting and a little funny.

Wisconsin native and NASCAR driver Travis Kvapil had his racecar and hauler stolen. His team had to withdraw from this weekend's race because they didn't have another car. This morning police found his NASRCAR racecar sitting in the middle of the woods in Georgia.

One of my guilty pleasures is enjoying when Deadspin rips on the Cardinals. Here's an example: Link

I mean, I know it's unfair and inaccurate to paint an entire fanbase with one brush. But Deadspin does it so well.

"We're just a bunch of humble boys who are already lording our future alternate dimension title over you."

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

I wanted to read the rest of the comments but it's at something like 398 comments (and counting, I'm sure) and I already met my quota of Cardinals articles for the year.

D5 champ Young Coggs Prep is located three blocks from where I work. I didn't know it before last weekend and I've driven past it everyday for the last year. Also, they beat Hustisford in the sectional final, and we have employees drive in from Hustisford after we consolidated operations.

I've driven through Hustisford many time.

My last name is Stelter. It sounds exactly the way it looks (rhymes with Shelter). However, since moving to New Mexico 8 years ago, I've had dozens of people pronounce it Stetler.

Is this some form of mass dyslexia?

My job is going to be a rotating shift, so that means missing Packer games and not always listening to the Brewers. This may well be the year I finally give in and get an iPhone to sign up for the radio broadcasts to listen to them in the work truck. Also finally buying a television just so I can tivo Packer games. I can probably record an online subscription, but there's probably no real way of not accidentally seeing the scores before I upload the game video.

I have found over the last 20 years or so that if I'm talking to someone and they say that they "don't like", "never got", or "never watched" Seinfeld, it instantly changes my image of that person in a negative way and I know that we will never really ever be good friends. This may sound like an irrational way to judge people, and maybe it is, but sense of humor is a huge factor in regards to whether or not I can ever really get along well with someone. To me, Seinfeld is the benchmark in judgement of sense of humor. As Jerry's mom would say, "How can anyone not like Seinfeld?!"

Sorry to anyone on the board that doesn't like Seinfeld. It's not that I don't like you. I just know, from that little piece of information, that we probably do not have a whole lot in common.

If often wonder the 1600's style of art, music and architecture ever lost it's popularity. After all if it isn't Baroque why fix it?

I came here to post that then I saw your post Patrick425. I never liked Seinfeld. If that is the benchmark of comedy I chose my profession poorly. No offense taken though. As long as enough people pay me to make them laugh I am good with not being funny. ;)

Wow, never realized that we had a professional comedian on the board! I guess I should have stated that as saying it's "my" benchmark for "my" sense of humor. I realize that there are differences in what people find humorous. That's why there are comedians with so many different styles of comedy.

I just read the letter E is breaking it's silence. Refuses not to be heard when it's part of the word anymore. What this means for the Olympics isn't known but according to officials probably not much since it was not involved in them.

Not to worry Patrick. I knew what you meant. Certainly didn't take offense to it. I just thought it was ironic that I came to post something pretty stupid, yet funny to me, and read that.

In 1953, it was discovered that the legalities weren't covered when Ohio became a state. In 1953, Congress passed a retroactive law declaring that Ohio became a state on March 1, 1803.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

I feel the same way about Seinfeld. Never watched the show, I would tell people that and they would tell me that I had to watch it because it was so funny. So I went online and looked for what were rated as some of the best episodes and then a few random ones and it wasn't funny at all to me.

Now I'm not a professional comedian or anything. The thought of having to write jokes bores me and the thought of having to perform them in front of people terrifies me, plus I'm much funnier when I don't have time to think and I just say what I'm thinking.

But yeah, count me in the crowd that doesn't find Seinfeld entertaining, funny or any other positive adjective that could be used to describe that show.

This entire post is me in a nutshell.

Plus you could replace "Seinfeld" with "Calvin and Hobbes" and it'd still be the same.
