Seems like a good deal to me. Much better than the Morales deal. Of course it all depends on Kris recovering from his second TJ.

From what I read the deal is essentially 3/17.5mil. Because the option is automatically picked up if either side agrees to? Seems odd unless they worded it wrong? But that to me means either Medlen asks for his option because he's not worth 10mil in FA for 2017. Or the Royals pick it up because he's worth over 12mil. Anyway, good job by the Royals to pick up potentially a powerhouse talent. It's moves like that that'll keep them in the hunt when they hit on it.

Yep, They must have changed the wording correcting what I read. They have had a number of poor editing errors with all this influx of trade news
