RIP Alvin Dark

JohnBriggs12

Long time player and manager Alvin Dark has passed away at 92. Dark had over 2,000 hits as a player ending his career with the Milwaukee Braves in 1960. He followed that up with 994 wins as a manager over 13 seasons including an NL pennant with the Giants in 1962 and the last of the three straight World Championships in Oakland in 1974.

A case could be made that Dark belongs on the HOF with his combined record as a player and manager.

Sad day any time a remaining Milwaukee Brave passes.
