Gaby Sanchez if he can decently fill in being the 5th OF for us behind Parra. He smacks around LHP's and could be the platoon mate for Lind. Between the two, they would be like having Fielder back.

Kris Medlen but it looks as though the Braves will be bringing him back.

Everth Cabrera possibly as a switch hitting middle IF who can spell both Segura and Gennett

None of these will happen but Gabby Sanchez intrigues me due to how bad Lind is against lefty's.

I'm not sure Brewers won't deal Parra if they can. At around $6 million, he'd be a very expensive backup and there might be teams out there that see him as a starter.

Sanchez has 3 innings experience in the OF. If they need a guy to be platoon at 1B and 5th OF, I'd rather they just look from within at a guy like Rogers or Halton both of whom have played extensively in the OF in the minors. I'd also be fine limiting Sanchez to 1B and going with Clark as a backup corner OF.

Have the Brewers picked up that option on Parra already or how does that work? I guess when it comes to the status of Parra on our roster, I'm confused with it.

The only problem with getting rid of Parra is that we really do not have a guy that can fill in all 3 OF positions like he can. I mean, we've been down the road with Schaffer and he just does not seem to be a quality bench/backup OF guy, at least not offensively. Defensively he seems to be a gem, but we need a decent stick out there because Braun seems to be banged up quite a bit these days and Davis really hasn't proven he will hit consistently nor stay healthy.

From the link in the thread: More than 200 players are arbitration eligible and unsigned for 2015. The deadline for teams to decide is December 2nd at 11pm central time. Non-tendering a player makes him a free agent.

I'm pretty sure the Brewers would offer arby because he would still have value over his arby amount in a trade, I assume.

Ruben Tejada or Everth Cabrera would be good as platoon-mates for Gennett and as backup SS. Both hit LHP markedly better than RHP, and while Cabrera's defense at SS hasn't been great he would probably be an asset at 2B.

We would need a 1B/3B to platoon with Lind, or a 3B/OF though, because neither Tejada or Cabrera has any business at a corner infield position.

I mentioned Yonder Alonso as a trade target. It'd be a miracle if that guy found the open market. Same with Everth Cabrera. Find no way San Diego would just let them walk vs. signing and looking for 1 of the 2 to have a good year and make a trade off of it. But yeah I'd go after both if San Diego decides to live in Fantasy.

Chacin/Medlen/David Hernandez

Chacin I wonder what his stuff becomes if moved to the Bullpen? He used to be a high K pitcher when he broke in to the Bigs but it dwindled off a lot and maybe that has to do with Velocity? Could he turn in to a Wade Davis reclamation project where he finds immense success in the Bullpen.

Medlen. Fantasy to think he will be non-tendered...unless his body is becoming complete crap and he offers no more ability to pitch. Again, another guy that I would believe is kept just for a bounceback to be worth something in trade.

Hernandez. Would be a cheap closer Experienced Setup man who's peripherals look appealing for a RP. I know he's coming back from TJ but for 3mil/less on the market? The good Hernandez helps the 2015Brewers. The Bad? He'd just be waived. He's the kind of risk-reward low cost player in the Bullpen the team should target.

Wade LeBlanc's career path is pretty similar to Zach Duke's. Had some limited success as a starter, might turn into a decent lefty reliever. He wasn't bad down the stretch for the Angels either.

Huff is another guy worth taking a look at.

Problem with LeBlanc and Huff is that both aren't particularly effective vs. LH hitters.

There's no option to pick up because he's arbitration-eligible. The question is whether or not the Brewers tender him a contract. If they tender him, the question becomes either the eventual dollar figure or, perhaps the less likely outcome, if they trade him to another team, which then finishes the negotiation or goes to arbitration if the contract wasn't resolved before the deal.

At the risk of double posting a thought: I hope the Crew give Parra a couple year deal - with, say, a year three team option. It is expensive insurance, but I think necessary

I don't love Parra as the team's 4th OF (not yet, anyway), but I think I could go along with this because I've long believed your 4th OF & your 5th IF should both be guys with whom a team would be quite comfortable and strong if each one ended up starting 100 games. Parra definitely fits that bill.

I bet Parra would provide a bit of a discount for the extra guaranteed year. Maybe a 2yr/$10M with a $6M team option with a $1M buyout. This would be a solid move for both parties IMO.

Padres just DFA'd non-tender candidate Blaine Boyer. Boyer was solid last year out of the pen for Padres and would make sense on either a minor league deal or a modest major league deal. Brewers still have guys they could take off their 40 man (Morris and Wooten specifically) if they want to make room.

Doesn't strikeout many but also did not walk people either. Interesting candidate. I'm sure they have or will look into him.

DM is great at finding value off the scrap heap. Hopefully he signs a couple of veterans who had down years to minor league deals. All of the following could be potential options: Jesse Crain, Jason Motte, Mike Adams, Kyuji Fujikawa, John Axford, Jim Johnson, Heath Bell, Chris Perez, Sergio Santos and Phil Coke. I'm sure some will get guaranteed deals but some will still be available come February. Of this group I personally prefer Crain, Fujikawa, Motte, Adams and Coke.

Boyer would likely be an upgrade over Wooten as the last RH in the pen just based on experience. There will undoubtedly be other names out there as well. If Thornburg and Henderson return, then he'd be competing with Kintzler for the last spot.
