2015 Brewer bobbleheads and other all-fan giveaways (Updated 1/12/15 with t-shirt designs)

Is Hank the Dog still something the team hopes to trot out and celebrate in 2015?

Yes. My friend works for a company that creates mascots for teams all over the country. Last season he created the Hank mascot that will be regularly seen in 2015. They already debuted it at Hank bobblehead day, but by MLB policy new mascots can only make one appearance if it is created during the season, that's why you didn't see it roaming around after that.

Interesting, we saw him at that game and was wondering why the mascot didn't show up the rest of the year. Makes sense as I do recall the same thing happening to the Chorizo a number of years ago.

I don't know what's worse. The fact that there will be a Hank mascot next year or that MLB has rules about when and how often mascots can appear.

On Monday, January 12, the Brewers released 12 t-shirt designs. Fans can vote on their top 7 for the next week. The winners will be announced at the January 25 On Deck event.

Speaking only for myself, there's nothing here I couldn't stand to wear (except maybe that Motre Bame design, but that's also because it's primarily gray).

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

I like the Barrelman and the yellow Wisconsin/ball & glove shirts. I like the grey mid-90s MB with the criss-crossed bats shirt, and the one with the clock tower.

The rest of them seem pretty unoriginal.

The shirts won't matter unless you never plan to wear them or they actually get not super, super cheap shirts. Went through my closet last night to get rid of some clothes. Found 2 of them from last year, worn at most, 1 time. Got washed and shrunk at least a full size if not more. Both were XL and now fit me like a medium at best. They'll be at Goodwill tomorrow.

I understand they have to go cheap when giving out 40k, but they've become virtually useless for me after the initial wearing.

Last year's shirts were horrible, both of mine are "wear once" and no longer fit. Cheap crap. I doubt I will make any effort to get them this year.

They definitely went way cheaper than previous years. The shirts they used to give out in the bleachers are Friday night were actual nice tshirts. I still have and wear a couple of them almost 10 years later. Same thing happened with the bobbleheads IMO, the first couple years when there were just a couple were really nice - looked great, high quality, heavier...and they've digressed into very poorly made little guys - a couple I got last year would barely even qualify as bobbling.

First of all, I was disappointed in the designs that the fans chose, many of them look very generic and are very similar to what most brewer fans already have in their drawer.

I also wish the brewers would cut back on the quantity of shirt days and focus more on the quality of the shirt.

Agree 100%. Not just with the shirts, but with virtually every giveaway item they have.

Shirts can't be all that expensive to put out. During every single event in the summer Gruber is handing out free shirts all day. Granted there is only one color ink, but the shirts are way higher quality than the crap being handed out at the Keg.

I have two shirts from last year, and the XLs went from looking like XL to still fitting, except it shrunk up to about my belt line. Ain't nobody got time for that.

I went to a couple of the shirt nights last year and ended up giving mine away. I'm a bigger gentlemen that generally wears a 2x. At one of the games I unrolled it right after I walked in and held it up in front of me, fully knowing it was a teeny lil shirt. There was an older usher sitting in a chair guarding one of the exits or whatever it is that they do. He looked up at me and says really loudly "YEAH THAT'S NEVER GONNA FIT." I thought my buddy was going to fall on the floor laughing.

Over the last few years, my perspective as a fan has gotten warped. Now, I shun perfectly decent games that do not offer giveaways because I feel like those games are a poor value.
