Brewers collections

Paul77

What kind of memorabilia does everyone have? Anyone got pictures of their Brewers collections. I'm always interested in seeing what kind of items fans collect. Also, I like to see others collections and try to come up with new ways to display things.

Anyone care to share?

Good Grief man, that's impressive!

i've gots lots of Molitor stuff, but it was mostly through trade, as i had no cash when i was collecting...

My current favorite item is a copy of Baseball America's 2006 Prospect handbook signed by Will Inman, Mat Gamel, Angel Salome, and Lorenzo Cain...It was funny watching them read the blurbs on themselves...Derek Miller was annoyed that he wasn't in it..

Both sets of pics are really amazing. . .Good work in amassing the stuff, and displaying it for us to see!

My Brewers collection consists of 2 pair of County Stadium green wooden seats, autographed balls from Bud Selig and Bob Uecker, signed 3x5 cards from nearly all the Brewers skippers--missing Jim Lefebvre, a framed panoramic print of County Stadium, a 1970 Brewers yearbook, a signed Rollie Fingers 8x10, a copy of Down in the Valley with a handful of sigs, and a 1971 signed team ball.

No pics yet, but perhaps in the coming days. . .

Yeah, now that Jason's brought it up I'll give him public (or at least forum-wide) props. That glove is swell. It gives me the strength to get through the anti-Sharpie posts (not saying you guys aren't entitled to them).

Thanks for not catching a Doug Davis cup after the last game, 'cause that would be too far for me. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

By the end of the week I hope to have every set from 1978 - 2006.

I have nearly every Topps set going back to 1970 (plus most other primary sets to 1981). Just need a few more.

Let's see who gets there first!

I'm also setting my son up with a 20 year team set collection for Christmas. As for myself, I'm having trouble finding some of the early 70's sets, at least at an affordable price.

I was able to grab a JJ Hardy bat and a Weeks bat today, so...

Anyone know of any signings in the Milwaukee area this month?

Kind of a related tangent, but what do people recommend as far as good ways to display a moderately sized bobblehead/memorabilia collection? I'm trying to get things more consolidated instead of randomly placed in various locations. I see a lot of photos here of free-hanging shelves and such, but I'm in an apartment, so I'm hesitant to hang up a ton of anchored shelves and such, so I'm thinking more along the lines of something floor sitting like a bookcase. Any ideas or recommendations for something relatively inexpensive that would do the job but wouldn't look tacky/crappy?

Jason21's pic is probably more along the lines of what I'm looking for logistically, but that looks pretty expensive, actually.

the bookcase that I have my bobbles in costs $300....although I got it for $40 because I worked at a furniture...a corner curio cabinet is anywhere from $150 on up would probably work

My BP used, Hall signed jersey(Can't get a good pic???):

Increase the light in the room or use a tripod. What's happening is there's not enough light in the room to get through the camera's aperture opening without using a slower shutter speed. Your camera tells itself that the shutter has to be open longer. Your hand cannot keep the camera still enough to get a clear picture. When your hand moves, you get the slight blurring effect that you see on a number of the pictures. You can solve this by keeping the light as it is and putting the camera on a tripod to keep it steady (or set it on a table/flat surface/etc) or by increasing the light in the room so that the shutter doesn't have to stay open so long.

Hope this helps.
