Doesn't it seem like while McGehee was barking, someone(s) in the Marlins dugout must have been saying something? Looked like Fiers was reacting to comments from the dugout more than McGehee. Wonder if McGehee's comments were - perhaps irrationally / emotionally - getting bent out of shape about Johnson not being awarded the base, but meanwhile the dugout was making some crap accusations about hitting guys on purpose.

The image of a distraught Fiers' spiking the ball in frustration while a melee takes shape in front of him is something I might never forget.

Yeah, it looked like McGehee was yelling at the first base ump, who was probably the one who ruled that Johnson swung.

Anyone watch the Marlins coverage of Johnson getting hit. Their announcer said, "That's right! Let's go! That's what you need to do" as the benches empty. Real classy character there.

On second thought, if you want to maintain your sanity don't watch it. Apparently the love child of Kirk Gibson and Tony La Russa is announcing for the Marlins.

Did anybody see the 20th anniversary video for Rock during the pregame. It was pretty cheesy but well done. But the best part was how happy Rock was during the whole video until Daron Sutton came on. Suddenly, Rock got all tense, the smile went away, and he looked toward someone off screen two or three times to tell them to take him off the picture-in-picture. It was really awkward and telling that he and Daron must have had a falling out.

The Matty V. Part was pretty funny, too!

God, Stanton got hit right in the face. If his nose and orbital bone aren't broken, it will be a miracle. I hate to see that, especially to one of the best in the game. It was clearly unintentional. Fiers should have been taken out, he was obviously flustered. I don't know why he wasn't taken out immediately.

God, I hope he will be ok somehow.

Only had 4 2/3 in. I agree, hope everything is good with Stanton - he's a monster talent.

Boy RR sure didn't like the fact that Smith pumped in three straight fastballs. Lol. Nice to see him take charge a bit.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.
