I highly doubt RRR will get fired.

But he has done nothing with a pretty talented roster.

I'm not sure the roster is that talented....Brewers were picked to finish 4th in the division and they will probably finish 3rd

Successful season!

I wasn't suggesting or advocating a firing. But I do think the team has looked lackluster since the Dodger series. And I still am perplexed with RRR's bullpen management and insistence on "aggressive" baserunning. I get that the bullpen hasn't performed well lately, but I still think the overuse early in the season is catching up with them.

As somebody posted somewhere else on the site, barring a miracle the Crew will have the worst record in the division since the 20-7 start after tonight. You can't ignore the great start, but you also can't ignore what has come since. I just hope fans at the park don't get ugly this weekend if things continue to go belly up.

Fans might just sell their tickets to Cardinals fans so they don't have to watch.

MA doesn't have the guts to fire DM or RRR in my opinion.

Both seem to have a free pass for as long as they want to stay here.

I'm all for a complete overhaul, especially if it means a new manager.

Im not gonna lie...i sold my tickets for Thursday to a Cardinals fan who lives in Milwaukee. Airfare from Phoenix was $350+ and i couldn't justify that for one night and i was banking on making trips to Milwaukee in October. Silly me

The wheels are well off the wagon now.

For all the fan chatter of firing Roenicke, I wouldn't mind seeing a complete turnover in the front office. Perhaps the Melvin tenure should come to an end as well: a complete resetting of the franchise management.

I agree with this. Melvin makes some sneaky good moves, but then fails to address glaring holes in the roster far to often.

They just fold like cheap lawn chairs when they feel the heat.

It's sad to say, but the Cardinals are to MLB what the Packers are to the NFL, and the Brewers are to MLB what the Lions are to the NFL. They believe they will get it done in the end, and they do. We usually break hearts in the end, one way or another.

The Yost firing was unprecedented IIRC. I think by the time MA/DM would possibly make a change, it would be too late. And I think that if that change was made, DM would be headed for the door. The recent extension makes it very unlikely in my opinion.

What percentage of fans at Miller Park on Thursday will be spending more time on their phones checking Packer updates than actually watching the game in front of them?

75%...25% watching the game will be Cardinal Fans that could care less.

Hypothetical: Season ends today. What's the final score of the wildcard game in San Francisco tomorrow?

How about the score right now 7-1 SF

I've been reading a Badger board about the garbage going on over there and didn't think I could feel any lower. Now I do. Thanks for that stat.

Might as well watch the rest of the season really closely as I have a feeling it will be a 2015 preview.
