Might be time to try the kick in the ass approach instead of the "That's baseball...everything is fine".......Any manager should be embarrased by these last 5 games......

Do we have any leaders on this team?

Not really IMO. I don't know what good screaming and yelling would do either. It is apparent this team is imploding right before our eyes and it is rather sad, frankly.

The players all know what's on the line; it's not like they can try harder and accomplish their goal of winning more games. Just can't press and hope that things change - but it might take a spark from someone to do something to cut the tension (the story of Mike Redmond taking BP naked comes to mind - I think the Twins went on a tear after he did that).

Someone to just remind them all to have fun and be loose - right now they're folding and looking like they're pressing big time.

Yeah, this team isn't making the playoffs.

All because DM didn't make a move at the deadline like I said. I said it a month ago and I'll say it again that if the Brewers miss the playoffs DM should be fired. By the way you and I both know the annual fire DM thread is a coming..

PrinceFielderx1: Aren't you the one who has made numerous guarantees about making the playoffs and "dominating" the Central as well?

I was betting on a mid-season big move. NOTHING happened and so I adjusted my prediction accordingly. Adding a reliever and a 1B man should have been done in June/July. This team could have been much better.

I'll admit I was in a state of SHOCK when DM made ZERO moves at the deadline. SHOCKED. That is inexcusable. When you see the rest of the division getting better around you then towards the end of the month your 7 game lead filters away and multiple teams are now in the race and you don't think that is a good enough reason to add a player or two to fill holes is stupidity and not like DM. DM went to take a dump and lost track of he time.

Translation. I guaranteed something would happen in large part because something else I guaranteed would make the first guarantee more guaranteeable. And when the second guarantee didn't happen, I abandoned my first guarantee, and made up an entirely new guarantee.

You can't just adjust your prediction, especially a prediction as bold as the one you made. Man up and stop with the excuses...

Last I checked, we added Parra, just added Jonathan Broxton...we also apparently seriously tried to add Justin Morneau. Acting like Melvin has just been sitting in his office twiddling his thumbs is just ridiculous.
