Yes it actually is Cold and maybe he made a mistake coming back so soon .Hopefully both Jean and Ron have talked about this and are looking to get him some help dealing with this tragic loss.

It's not cold to say someone needs to be able to do their job when they're at work. In 2010 my dad died, a few months later my mom died, and a few months later, my oldest brother died. At my workplace, my boss was like "look, we know what you're going through sucks, but when you're at work we need you to be able to do your job. We'll help you any way we can, but if you can't do your job, you just let us know and we'll get you some time off."

Saying someone needs to perform isn't cold, it's just reality.

I have a hard time pinning this on K-Rod, considering how the Brewers batters have been waving at pitches well out of the strike zone (again) and the Brewers fielders have been playing awful defense. Should have been at least a 2-run lead, and the HR meaningless.

brewers hiiter no matter how bad gave them a 2-1 lead into the night and in his last 2 outing he has given up 2 HR. Sorry i agree we should have had more runs but he had a lead and didn't hold it. PS i thought this Ballpark was not considered a HR park?

Everybody ... hop aboard the K-Rod ... let's hope the ride isn't so wild and choppy as usual!

We are all aboard but RRR is the conductor (well more was but that's neither her nor there) - he is probably in the caboose ... Either way we are all going down with the Krod train. Even with the padres horrible base running

I found out yesterday that my Comcast internet has a 300 GB/month limit before I have to pay more. I found out because I got a warning that I was close to the line. I am now 10 GB away from going over. I'm thinking streaming on MLB TV might be a bad idea for a few days.

Cox does that too, i got a warning email a few weeks ago....apparently its not really enforced though according to people ive talked to. Id imagine Comcast is similar

I'm lucky I don't have a cap - yet. Can't imagine that'll work out too well for me with MLB.tv and all the internet TV (HBO Go, Netflix, Hulu, Youtube) and music (Spotify and Pandora) I stream. I imagine I'll go over in a week.

Keep in mind, Rosenthal has been far from reliable - he has a WHIP > 1.4. K-Rod's WHIP is <1.0. Rosenthal has one fewer loss than Estrada.

KRod's WHIP is deceiving because his baserunners all too often are the homerun variety baserunners.

KRod's WHIP may look cool ... but it's not Cool Whip!

I imagine it will be automatically enforced. On the bright side, I believe I read I get three overages in a 12 month period (not sure when this period started) for free, so I guess I shouldn't worry too much. My account page shows my last three months' usage and the most I used prior to August was 201 GB.

I think this month was a combination of heavy Brewers game watching online and my wife's binge-watching of both Orange is the New Black (which I watched, as well) and Scandal (which I only partially watched). Once baseball season is over, I can't imagine I'll come close to the cap.

Well, we're just going to have to disagree then. I am one of the most understanding people you will ever meet, and there was absolutely nothing malicious, or unfeeling in my comment. If you want to think that I'm this cold, and insensitive *****, so be it. But it doesn't change the fact that what I said is true. Jean Segura needs to pull himself together, and get his head in the game, or he needs to not be playing. If he is so beset with grief that he cannot do his job, then he needs to tell somebody that he can't play the game anymore. If he is at the plate, or in the field, thinking about his little boy, then he doesn't need to be playing baseball. He needs people around him that can help him. Or, maybe he just needs more time to himself. People grieve in different ways.

Maybe he never gets over this, and maybe he can't play at the same high level he did in the first half last year. Nobody would blame him if he had to hang it up. There are some things that you just can't ever fully recover from. But he needs to be honest with himself, and his teammates. Either he is able to do the job he is being paid for, or he can't, because there are a lot of people that have made a lot of sacrifices so this team could get to where it is now. This is a critical part of the season, and everybody needs to be focused on playing their very best baseball.

There are three things America will be known for 2000 years from now when they study this civilization: the Constitution, jazz music and baseball. They're the three most beautifully designed things this culture has ever produced. Gerald Early
