If that was Rickie this thread would have doubled in posts in 5 minutes.

 

I think Scooter gets too much credit for his defense because he's "not Rickie".

 

Scooter is at best....average at 2nd base, whereas the measuring stick he's held against (Weeks) is gawdawful. By that comparison, he ends up looking better than he really is.

Because Scooter deserves a free pass since he's apart of the future and Weeks isn't. Understandable.

I'd have to see the play again, but I'm wondering if the problem on the check-swing "hit" stemmed from a bad angle by Jeffress. By the time either he or Overbay was able to get to the ball, it would've been hard to field it and get to first base. Jeffress' approach angle may have made it hard to a) allow him to field it and get the ball to Overbay (unless he would've been able to just run it to first), and b) allow Overbay to field it without colliding with Jeffress and also actually make the tag.

 

The play definitely should've been made, but it was almost a "no-man's land" situation.

I am sorry but as far I am concerned Segura get a pass for this season without any question.

I think I have to agree here. I know it's a business and he has to perform, but every time I look at him I think of what he lost.
