I think so. I do agree with the earlier comment that it's probably time for them to rebuild. This season has to be a pretty big gut punch to their fan base, since they were actually expected to compete again. At least the Reds have Cueto pitching tonight, so maybe they can yet pick up a win over St. Louis.

I hope I'm not jinxing anything, but there was a palpable "buzz" amid that large crowd last night. It was a BP redemption night, but that doesn't usually result in a Tuesday night sellout. There was a cool anticipatory vibe in the concourses before the game started, and the crowd seemed largely into the game. Even better was that the Brewers lived up to the anticipation.

 

I saw several uncommon jersey/shirseys on fans last night: Francisco Cordero, Mike Cameron, Claudio freakin' Vargas, Alex Gonzalez (the latter a road jersey). A woman who looked older than I wore a bizarre lime green jersey with the Motre Bame 1990s logo. I was more impressed with the player gear. Overall, it's great to see fans turning out and not being shy to rep the Brewers.
