Brewers broadcast lamenting on and on about the "Brewers relying on the home run". Is this true? Where do the Brewers rank on runs scored via home run?

We have 123 HRs and have scored 184 runs on them, out of 523 runs (35%) Other teams with 100+ HRs:

COL 207 R on 135 HR, 561 runs total (37%)

CHC 177 R on 111 HR, 461 runs total (38%)

PIT 160 R on 108 HR, 511 runs total (31%)

WAS 166 R on 104 HR, 499 runs total (33%)

and StL, fewest HRs in the NL: 120 runs on 80 HRs, 445 runs total (27%)

I don't care enough to look up who the TV guys for the Cards are, but their color guy is painful. Not Davey Nelson painful - he's fastball in the junk painful - but bad nonetheless. Just called a 4 strikeout night a Golden Zambrano!

I think that is when you throw a no-hitter at a neutral park

Soooo, do the Brewers rely on the home run? Seems like less than others and more than others...average. But definitely not significantly more than others to go on and on about it for 20 minutes.

too much manual work to do the whole league, but the Brewers are probably on the higher end. Still not highest

This is going to be a good game and we are going to win, so I'm going to get some beer.

Whew, now I can turn this game off knowing for certainty that we have a win locked up!

Hopefully that beer improves your posts.

In case you werent aware. Jimmy Nelson is from Niceville, Florida. Scully has mentioned this 3 times so far....2 mentions short of making it a drinking game...and this LaCroix guy batting must be new

[cool story bro]I drove through Niceville a few weeks ago. Also, I was in a restroom in a Florida restaurant that had newspapers above the urinals. One of the stories in the sports section was a "local boy done good" piece about Jimmy Nelson getting called up to bigs.
