IIRC, Pena left his last start - a short, very unproductive start - with elbow pain/discomfort. Might be hurt.

That's a great insight, I just re-listened to Manager Rick Sweet's interview when he discussed Pena's status, and he didn't go into specifics. Do you remember hearing that from Jeff Hem during a subsequent game broadcast?

From Brad's daily Around the Horn write-up at Miller Park Prospects:

A few days after announcing that pitcher Ariel Pena would not be participating in the Arizona Fall League, it was announced on Sunday that left-handed pitcher Michael Strong has been named to take his place with the Glendale Desert Dogs.

Tyrone Taylor leading off has tripled and walked. One hit for Nick Ramirez and Brooks Hall has pitched a scoreless inning. Pretty good start to the AFL.

Two hits for Ramirez. And he went yard.

I'm excited to see box scores again, even if it doesn't mean a whole lot.

Not a bad start for some Brewers in the first game:

Nick Ramirez 2-4 With a HR, Single, RBI however did have an error

Tyrone Taylor 1-4 with a triple and a walk

Brooks Hall 1IP clean across the board in a scoreless inning

Can't wait to see Coulter get some playing time and hopefully just mashes the ball like he did all season!

Proud member since 2003 (geez ha I was 14 then)

FORMERLY BrewCrewWS2008 and YoungGeezy don't even remember other names used

If you scroll down to the "In the Minors" section of Friday's "Frosty Mug",Kyle Lobner highlights all of Thursday's AFL and Winter League Brewer-related updates.

By the way, remember last March, when the Hector Gomez to the Angels trade was actually posted on the Brewers and MLB's transactions page?

That sure worked out for the Crew given Gomez' 2014 season...
