That ball still hasn't come down.

I like how Braun has two homers in three games since that Olney article. Granted one was to right field but still...

I have Lucroy, Braun and Krush Davis all going tonight on my fantasy team. Some serious power on display.

I think that one a few minutes ago might count as two. That's some serious pull power that he displayed.

Nine home runs by the Brewers in what will be three games when this one is over.

Heh.....I realize it literally makes no difference in the 8th inning of a 9 - 1 game, but why have Lyle ".459 OPS vs lefties" Overbay waste an at bat there? Herrera and Maldonado rarely get a chance to see in game action. Let one of them get a hack.

Ryan Braun's 12 game hitting streak:

18 for 47 (.383 AVG), 7 runs scored, 4 doubles, 1 triple, 3 home runs, 11 RBI.

Slash line of .431/.702/1.133

Not bad at all. :)

Best record in the National League on July 25th. Someone pinch me!
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Ok so I went out on a medical call and come back and its 6-0. What happened

Medical call?

We were out last night and the game was on a TV in the background so I'm not sure what was happening either. It appears the bats were hot. :)

I didn't sit down & watch this one last night, so I watched all the video highlights on the Brewers' site this morning. One thing that stood out to me is that none of the pitches that wound up going as big hits for the Brewers really looked like bad pitches -- the catcher's glove rarely moved from where he initially set it as a target. But the swings simply went with where the pitches had been thrown, and the run-scoring hits all really went where they 'should' have. Great hitting up & down the lineup last night.

The reason for this is that the guys were patient, and worked themselves (often) into hitters counts....to when the pitcher often had no choice but to throw a hitter's pitch. Amazing what that will do for a guy.

I thought they were pretty free swinging still last night, so I had to look this up. 6 of their hits last night came on 3 pitches or less.

Lucroy - HR - 9p - 2-2

Segura - 3B - 6p - 3-2

Gomez - 1B - 3p - 2-0

Lucroy - 1B - 5p - 0-2

Weeks - 2B - 2p - 1-0

Davis - 2B - 3p - 1-1

Davis - HR - 1p - 0-0

Gomez - 1B - 1p - 0-0

Braun - HR - 2p - 1-0

Reynolds - 2B - 6p - 3-2
