Reminder that today is the 16th-annual Sirius XM All-Star Futures Game, which will begin at 4:00 p.m. CST at Target Field. The game is broadcast on MLB Network.

Here are the updated rosters:

World Team Roster

U.S. Team Roster

Jorge Lopez will serve as the Brewers lone representative in this year's game, and is one of 10 pitchers on the World Team roster.

EDIT: Here are the Team Rosters with some additional player information and the game will be live streamed on MLB.com.

Futures Game updates are also available via Twitter by following @futuresgame.

One final fun fact, this year there were 14 players selected for the Futures Game that are older than Mike Trout.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

Jorge Lopez pitched to only one batter. 91-94 FB and a nice curveball. Interesting.

Pretty much what he showed last year then, he's probably making strides with his command and consistency.

GRAND CHUTE, WI - The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers used a seven-run third inning to build an 8-0 lead on the way to a 13-4 win over the Quad Cities River Bandits Sunday afternoon at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium. Chris McFarland went 4-for-5 with a triple, two runs, and two RBI to pace Wisconsin's 14-hit attack. Michael Ratterree added hit fifteenth home run of the season for the Timber Rattlers.

Steve Halcomb put the Timber Rattlers (48-44 overall, 12-11 second half) in front with a two-out RBI double in the bottom of the second inning.

Wisconsin poured it on in the third inning as they sent eleven men to the plate and scored seven runs. McFarland started the inning with a triple. Ratterree drew a walk against Bandits starting pitcher Edison Frias. Clint Coulter knocked in McFarland with a sacrifice fly to center for a 2-0 lead.

Taylor Brennan doubled to get Ratterree around to third base. Rafael Neda delivered a single to center that plated both runners for a 4-0 lead. Neda took second on the throw home to get Brennan and took third on a passed ball. Omar Garcia followed with an RBI single and it was 5-0. Jose Pena was next and he was hit by a pitch.

Frias got the second out of the inning on a strikeout, but an error on a grounder off the bat of Johnny Davis allowed Garcia to score, the inning to continue, and end the day for Frias.

Davis would steal second when Tyler Brunnemann took over on the hill for Quad Cities. That set up McFarland with two runners in scoring position. McFarland came through with his second hit of the inning, an RBI single to score Pena and Davis for a seven-run frame and an 8-0 lead.

The teams would trade runs for the next few turns at the plate.

Quad Cities (47-45, 12-11) got a run off Wisconsin starter Zach Quintana in the top of the fourth on an RBI single by Chase McDonald.

Garcia knocked in a run with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fourth.

Ronnie Mitchell doubled in a run in the top of the fifth inning.

McFarland singled with two outs in the bottom of the fifth to bring Ratterree to the plate. Then, Ratterree drilled his fifteenth home run of the season. The two-run shot put the Rattlers up 11-2.

Quintana left after giving up a one-out double in the top of the sixth. He scattered nine hits over 5-1/3 innings, walked two, and struck out two.

Tyler Spurlin took over for Quintana and stranded the runner he inherited in the sixth and tossed a scoreless seventh.

The River Bandits got a pair of runs off Tristan Archer in the top of the eighth inning. Brett Phillips doubled in the first run. Jake Rodriguez scored on a wild pitch by Archer and the score was 11-4.

The Rattlers got those runs back in the bottom of the eighth. Brennan singled to start the inning for his third hit of the game. An error and a hit batter loaded the bases. Jose Pena's sacrifice fly got one run home. Halcomb plated the final run of the game with a single.

Archer would walk two batters with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning, but he closed out the game by getting McDonald to ground into a 6-4-3 double play.

Wisconsin matched their season high for runs in an inning, runs in a game, and hits in a game with their offensive output on Sunday.

The Timber Rattlers have taken an 8-7 lead in the season series from the River Bandits with one more game left between the teams in the regular season. Wisconsin has also outscored the River Bandits 80-75 in the season series. The first playoff tie-breaker in case the teams end the regular season with identical records is the goes to the team that wins the season series. The second tie-breaker is the team with the better run differential in the series between the teams.

Monday is a Qdoba Q*Monday with KRUZ 106.7 at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium. Wisconsin Boxscore

I was watching amateur baseball this afternoon so I didn't get to see the game but it appears Zach Quintana is starting to make some incremental improvements with his control. I don't think he's ever going to be a huge strike out pitcher or top of the rotation type, but if he continues to improve he slot in that 3-5 range. Tyler Spurlin has only pitched 2 full innings (including today) since his tough outing on June 6th, it was good to see him back in the fold.

After being lifted from C yesterday Clint Coulter was back behind the dish today with no errors or PBs. I looked at this yesterday but posting it seemed like piling on after his tough day:

[pre]Split G PA AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI BB SO BA OBP SLG OPS TB

Total 81 342 274 54 71 19 2 13 53 51 68 .259 .398 .485 .883 133

April 22 92 74 11 24 7 1 4 17 15 12 .324 .457 .608 1.065 45

May 28 122 98 21 25 3 1 6 22 17 25 .255 .393 .490 .883 48

June 22 91 70 18 17 8 0 3 13 15 20 .243 .396 .486 .881 34

July 9 37 32 4 5 1 0 0 1 4 11 .156 .270 .188 .458 6[/pre]

For some reason I was thinking about the T-Rat HR output while reading the game story and it occurred to me that Jose Pena hadn't one in some time, so I went looking and sure enough he hasn't hit one since May 28th. He's been at 5 HR on the season forever.

Have a day Chris McFarland! His transformation continues, his only major weakness at this time is his backhand defensively at 2nd, but he's improved both defensively and at the plate from last year. 7 more walks and he eclipses last year's total.

Michael Ratterree (2-4,2B,HR,BB), Taylor Brennan (3-5,2B), and Steven Halcomb (2-5) had the other multi-hit games for the T-Rats.

Final: Charlotte 5, Brevard County 7

Magnifico deals 'Tees to 7-5 win over Crabs

By Andrew Luftglass / Brevard County Manatees

Brevard County Manatees starting pitcher Damien Magnifico gave up just one run over eight innings to defeat the Charlotte Stone Crabs on Sunday night at Space Coast Stadium. (Dennis Greenblatt/Hawk-Eye Sports Photography)

VIERA, Fla. - Behind eight stellar innings by Damien Magnifico and one terrific catch by center fielder Tyrone Taylor, the Brevard County Manatees disposed of the Charlotte Stone Crabs on Sunday night at Space Coast Stadium, 7-5.

Magnifico (6-5, 3.70 ERA) faltered once in the first inning when Patrick Leonard ripped an RBI single to left and gave the Stone Crabs (7-17 second half, 38-53 overall) a 1-0 lead. That, however was the only run Magnifico allowed all evening.

Charlotte almost got to the Manatees' (13-7, 49-37) starter in his final inning of work. Leonard came in the eighth with a runner on first, two outs and his Stone Crabs trailing, 7-1. The powerful designated hitter launched a ball just to the left of dead center that looked like it would make it over the wall for a two-run homer.

Taylor, however, raced after the fly ball, climbed the wall and made a spectacular grab. Brevard County's center fielder nearly toppled over the wall, but he held on to rob Leonard of a sure home run and end the inning.

Taylor's catch ended Magnifico's night. The starter allowed just the one run through eight innings. He surrendered six hits, walked one and struck out five to pick up his first win in July.

The 'Tees rebounded quickly from Charlotte's early run. In the bottom of the first, Brevard took advantage of two Stone Crabs errors to take a 2-1 lead.

Nathan Orf reached on an error by Charlotte shortstop Leonardo Reginatto to lead off the inning. The next batter, Orlando Arcia, singled up the middle and Orf bolted to third.

With Taylor at the plate, Arcia took off for second and catcher Luke Bailey's throw skipped into center field. Orf scored easily to tie the game at 1-1. In the meantime, Arcia moved to third on the error. He later scored on a Michael Reed sacrifice fly to put Brevard County on top for the first time in the ballgame.

The 'Tees tacked on four more runs in the second against Charlotte starter Marcus Jensen. Mike Garza and Alfredo Rodriguez hit back-to-back singles to start the inning and Brandon Macias worked a one-out walk to load the bases. Orf hit a fly ball to center that was plenty deep enough to score Garza and put the 'Tees further ahead, 3-1.

Arcia was next up and he not only roped a two-run single, but miraculously advanced to third base with a couple of nimble maneuvers. Brevard's number two hitter smacked a single to left that scored both Rodriguez and Macias. He then tried to run to second when Josh Sale's throw went toward home.

Charlotte redirected the throw toward second base and Arcia beat the throw, but slid past the bag. Stone Crabs second baseman Tommy Coyle tried to apply the tag to Arcia, but he danced away and headed to third.

At this point, Charlotte had Arcia caught in a rundown and he looked to be dead to rights. Coyle threw to third baseman Tyler Goeddel and Arcia began to cautiously jog back toward second. As Goeddel tried to tag Arcia, the runner stopped in his tracks, hopped backwards and spun around away. Arcia scrambled to third base and was in there safely.

After Arcia's acrobatic moves placed him 90 feet from home, Taylor dropped down an unexpected bunt toward third. Arcia came home and Taylor made it to first with an RBI bunt single to give Brevard a 6-1 lead. Victor Roache added the Manatees' final run the following hinning when he lifted his 11th home run of the season over the right field wall.

Charlotte made a comeback bid in the ninth. Sale got things started against lefty reliever Trevor Seidenberger with a one-out triple and Ariel Soriano knocked him in with a double. Seidenberger then walked Jonathan Quinonez to put a pair on. After the walk, Luke Bailey lifted a three-run homer well over the left field wall to pull Charlotte within two runs at 7-5.

Scott Lieser came in from the bullpen to close the door. He struck out Marty Gantt and Coyle in consecutive fashion to end the ballgame. Lieser picked up his first career save in the process.

Jensen (3-4, 3.60 ERA) took the loss for Charlotte. He allowed seven runs (five earned) over just three innings. The spot-starter gave up six hits, walked one and struck out two.

Brevard County has now won each of its last two games and is tied for first place in the Florida State League North Division with the Daytona Cubs. The 'Tees will try to take three-out-of-four from Charlotte in the series finale on Monday night. First pitch at Space Coast Stadium is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. Austin Ross (7-2, 3.12 ERA) is expected to start for Brevard against Charlotte's Ryne Stanek (1-0, 1.50 ERA).

Sounds Fall 6-4 In Series Finale

Nashville's Rogers Goes 3-for-4 With Home Run and Three RBIs

Nashville Sounds

http://www.milb.com/assets/images/6/5/8/84636658/cuts/Jason_Rogers_627_3_Large_diupab34_09ig5xs1.jpg

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The first-place Nashville Sounds (51-47) failed to complete a three-game series sweep over the Round Rock Express Sunday night, losing the finale 6-4 at Greer Stadium.

Infielder Jason Rogers powered the Sounds' offense, going 3-for-4 and delivering the game-tying three-run home run in the 5th inning, but the Sounds would not score again.

Sounds reliever Donovan Hand (1-6) surrendered three consecutive singles in the 8th inning to allow Round Rock to break the 4-4 tie.

Later in the inning, Luis Sardinas hit a sacrifice fly to the wall in left field for a two-run lead that proved to be the difference.

The Sounds scored first in the contest when shortstop Hector Gomez's hit an RBI single down the right-field line to score Eugenio Velez, who reached base on balls and moved into scoring position with his 17th stolen base of the season.

In the 4th inning, the Express belted a pair of home runs to take a 3-1 lead on Nashville. Express outfielder Bryan Petersen drove a two-run homer over the left-field wall and catcher Brett Nicholas followed later in the frame with his seventh dinger of the year.

Round Rock added one more run in the inning on Michael Choice's RBI double into left field to chase Sounds starting pitcher Taylor Jungmann out of the game after 3 2/3 innings of work.

Sounds relievers Alfredo Figaro and Dustin Molleken combined to pitch 3 1/3 scoreless innings for Nashville, allowing just two hits prior to Hand's entry in the 8th. Brent Leach and Jeremy Jeffress each saw time out of the bullpen, working a spotless 9th inning.

Outfielder Jeremy Hermida extended his PCL-best on-base streak to 31 consecutive home games, going 2-for-4 at the plate.

The Sounds will take a three-day break as the Pacific Coast League All-Stars head to Durham, North Carolina for the Triple-A All-Star Game. Not exactly the way the pitching staff wanted to go into the break... Taylor Jungmann hasn't gotten his feet under him yet and Donovan Hand's season to forget continues, this has been far and away the worst season of Donovan's career.

Jason Rogers' best day in AAA bumped his AVE up to .281 and bumped his OPS to .843.

Baseball America's --

PITCHER OF THE DAY: Damien Magnifico, rhp — high Class A Brevard County (Brewers)

"For a night, the hard-throwing righty lived up to his name. The Brewers' fifth-rounder in 2012 out of Oklahoma allowed only six hits and a run over eight innings while walking one and striking out five. For the season, Magnifico's 6-5, 3.70. Despite his extraordinary heat, Magnifico's been very ordinary this season outside of a stellar May. His command remains an issue and he profiles, thanks to his blazing fastball, as a back-end reliever."

Lookouts Stun Stars

Steve Jarnicki, Huntsville Stars

Chattanooga, TN - Pinch hitter Chris O'Brien delivered a walk-off two-run double in the bottom of the ninth inning giving the Chattanooga Lookouts a 5-4 win over the Huntsville Stars Sunday afternoon at AT&T Field.

With the Stars leading 4-2 in the bottom of the ninth, Bobby Coyle and O'Koyea Dickson produced back to back singles off Stars RHP Kevin Shackelford. Angel Sanchez then executed a sacrifice bunt advancing the runners to second and third base with one out.

Tim Dillard then entered out of the Stars bullpen to face pinch hitter Daniel Mayora. Mayora, dumped an RBI single to left field scoring Coyle making it 4-3.

O'Brien came off the Lookouts bench and came through with the clutch game winning hit against Dillard. O'Brien stroked the two-run double over RF Josh Prince's head.

Dillard, who gave up the game winning hit, suffered his first loss of the year, dropping to 4-1.

Chattanooga got a pair of solo home runs earlier in the game from Dickson and Coyle against Stars RHP Eric Marzec to take a 2-1 lead.

The Stars, who led briefly 1-0 after the top of the fourth, regained the lead in the seventh inning against RHP Tyson Brummett.

The Stars strung together five consecutive hits against Brumett. With the Stars trailing 2-1 and with runners at first and third base, Prince bunted for an infield hit scoring Shea Vucinich tying the game at 2-2.

Nick Shaw roped an RBI single to right-center field scoring Nick Ramirez to give the Stars a 3-2 lead. Hainley Statia came through right after the Shaw hit, and singled into right field scoring Prince. The Stars led 4-2 after Statia's RBI hit.

Vucinich led the Stars by going 3-for-4.

The Stars (11-13, 57-37) and the Lookouts (10-14,36-58) are now even at 2-2 in their five game series. Game five, the rubber match, will be Monday night. The Stars will have LHP Brent Suter (8-6, 3.79) on the hill. Chattanooga will feature RHP Raydel Sanchez (2-5, 5.56) on the mound. The game can be heard starting at 6:00 pm CDT on 92.9 FM, 1450 AM and wtkiradio.com.

Huntsville Box Score

From May 20th - July 2nd, 40-man roster RHP Kevin Shackelford was assigned to Brevard County, to help him overcome earlier AA struggles, and unfortunately, the return to the Stars has still found rough going, depsite a stellar stint with the 'Tees.

It's unclear why starting RHP Andy Moye had to exit after just two scoreless innings of work.

First baseman Nick Ramirez did not start the game, but finished 1-for-2 with a pinch-hit single. Ramirez has appeared in 92 of the Stars' 94 games, onbviously the vast majority of those in the starting lineup.

Helena Independent Record account of this road game --

A day after being dismantled by the Grand Junction Rockies in the series opener, the Helena Brewers bounced back with big bats.

The Brewers pounded 15 hits in a 7-5 victory Sunday afternoon at Suplizio Field in Grand Junction, Colorado. Helena got a home run from designated hitter Mitch Meyer, his fifth of the year. Sthervin Matos and Jack Cleary each had doubles, and Brandon Diaz added a triple for the visitors, who are now 11-16 this season.

Helena scored two runs in the top of the third to take a 2-0 lead, but that was quickly erased in the bottom of the inning when Rockies catcher Hamlet Marte stroked a three-run homer off of Brewers starter Chad Thompson.

Meyer’s solo shot came in the Brewers’ big fourth inning, when Helena scored five runs in the frame to take a 7-3 lead. The Brewers were able to hold off the Rockies for the win, despite two Grand Junction runs in the ninth against reliever Javier Salas. Salas earned his first save after pitching three innings of two-hit ball.

Thompson (3-2) earned the win for the Brewers, allowing three runs on four hits through five frames. He struck out five and walked a pair.

Grand Junction starter Carlos Polanco (3-3) suffered the loss.

Left fielder Edgardo Rivera paced Helena offensively with his 3-for-4 effort. Matos and Francisco Castillo each had a pair of RBIs. Diaz, Elvis Rubio and Gregory Munoz also had multi-hit games for the Brewers, which had nine more hits than they did the previous night.

Randy Reyes and shortstop Max George, who had a cycle Saturday night, each had two hits to lead the Rockies (15-12) attack.
