Was at the game today, have a couple thoughts:

Horrible baserunning by Ramirez on the sac fly that Davis hit to RF. Ramirez had no business not tagging up and being on 3rd with 1 out there.

What a laughable 3 run 2 error play on a routine double play grounder to bury any real hope for a comeback for the Crew.

What a horrible job of working the count and extending at bats by the Brewers early in the game. I think De La Rosa was at 42 pitches through 3.

Brewers will win 9-8.

PrinceFielderx1, is that you?

:tongue

Thankfully not!!!!

Yeah, I'm not that drunk. However, when I say a team will come back there are many reasons for it, and it happens.

Wait, where has Princefielderx1 been?

we know he isn't at the game as he has a career record of 400-2 when he goes :)

No but seriously I've only seen a few loses when I go to a game at Miller Park and I've been to over 40-50 of them. I also drive 15 hours round trip from Columbus, OH to see them play. I've also seen 2 playoff games and saw Braun hit a HR in the playoff game. Btw.. they better win if I travel that distance to see a series.

Reds are really going to be tough the rest of the way...they worry me more than the Cards

The Brewers are the best team in baseball and will get even better when they call up Jeffress. No team worries me. This division in my eyes is already the Brewers. I hope the Reds keep the cards from the playoffs. I'd rather play the Reds, but neither can beat the Brewers in a best of 5 or 7.

Drinking some knowledge and reality, right now. Your welcome to have either one.

I'm quite please with what I'm seeing from Ryan Braun. I don't think he's quite 100%, as we're still not seeing him pulling a lot of balls with power to left field. I still think the oblique muscle is not quite fully healed. But he's doing a good job of using center and right field. He's got a six game hitting streak, hitting .400 (10 for 25) with 4 multi-hit games in his last five.

In his last nine games, Brauny is 14 for his last 40 (.350) with 4 doubles, a triple and a home run. He's scored 9 runs and driven in 9 runs. He's sporting a nice .400 OBP/.575 SLG/.975 OPS line in the last nine. For the season, he's up to a .291 AVG with 11 home runs and 46 RBI. Though he hasn't hit for the average or power we're used to for the month, he's still been productive, driving in 19 runs for the month.

But, 7 of those games were vs. Colorado a terrible pitching team. Any hitter's impressive numbers of late when it comes vs. Colorado for Fantasy I take in with a cautious but. I mean Segura hit 2HRs in that game in Coors, I'm sure his numbers in the last 9 games also looks appealing due to that power output. I believe in Braun, Just the small sample size of late I wouldn't put to much in to it due to the opponent.

It's great Wang got 4 outs in 3batters faced. Maybe it'll encourage Ron to try him more in games we're down. Like rather than having used Kinztler in a terrible 8th inning outing, he will just use Wang to complete the game.

It's really quite remarkable that we have 51 wins with this starting rotation.

Gallardo had a 3.23 ERA coming into this game. He's been terrible today, but he, Peralta, and Lohse have all been pretty decent.

No kidding. I wasn't surprised by yesterday's game. We had beaten this team 6 games in a row and we just finished 19 games in a row without a day off. Something had to give. We still have a 6+ game lead on the Cards and the Reds. Today is a welcome day off. Segura and Gomez should be back in the lineup tomorrow. Toronto has cooled off and went 4-6 in the last 10 games while we went 7-3. This might be good time to face them.

Of course for Braun or any hitter in a slump it doesn't hurt to face a pitching staff as poor as the Rockies. Isn't hitting partly a mental thing? It might help his confidence and that could be half the battle.

Just to recap that comment, when a guy slumps he's seriously hurt, or we better hope he's hurt or we are stuck with that contract forever, but when he has a 10 day stretch with good production it is a small sample size issue and driven by facing bat pitchers??? It is also completely circular to argue that everyone has been putting up good numbers against the Rockies when Braun is a significant fraction of the evidence that everyone is crushing them in the last 2 weeks.

not like everyone hit a homerun yesterday either, Braun has looked better at the plate

The Reds have already beaten the Brewers 5 out of 7...to suggest they couldn't win a playoff series against us is just silly.

Cueto, Latos, Simon/Bailey/Leake will be very tough for the brewers to beat.

I would also suggest you consider how the Brewers would fare against the Dodgers(Kershaw, Greinke, etc) before proclaming them the best team in baseball.

Should we make the playoffs(likely) we will be an underdog in either of those series IMO.

We have the best record in baseball. Underdog, really? LOL We done better against the teams that the Reds have played and our record proves that. My point remains.
