Those last three at bats - that's the Braun we're used to seeing. Hope this is the start of a hot streak for him.

Usually this is how it starts for him, too. He gets on track just taking what they give him. Last hit, a double, was low and outside, and he hit it to the opposite field. This time, in the hole between the shortstop and third baseman.

Kintzler is sort of like the new version of Kameron Loe. Deceivingly decent stats, but fails the eye test every time.

 

Exactly. He's exceedingly mediocre, but all you hear is how absolutely terrible he is. His ERA is just over 3. His FIP is 4 1/2. He's certainly not good, but he's not 'terrible' either.

 

He's below replacement level and has a K/BB rate of 1.63. That is terrible for a short inning reliever.

 

Before the deadline we definitely need to get a shut down Righty to compliment smith. Kintzler/ wooten are not shut down caliber by any means
