The throwing stuff is annoying, but Garza has pitched all right so far this year. I think people put too much faith in Nelsons ability to come in and outperform what we've currently got going. He's still a two pitch pitcher who's had always had control problems when bumping up levels. The Garza contract might be a drag in 3 or 4 years, but I think you guys are nuts if you'd rather have Fiers or Nelson in the rotation right now all else being equal.

Were people claiming that Nelson or Fiers should replace Garza? Most people seem to think that Nelson should replace Estrada.. I haven't read that he should replace Garza. But it's possible that I have missed a post or two.

I don't think anyone is saying to replace Garza with Fiers or Nelson, my comment was strictly based on the fact that he sucks. It is natural when we spend that kind of cash on a guy, that we expect him to produce.

Estrada should be replaced by Nelson immediately. Nelson can't do any worse than Estrada.

I am not a fan of Fiers. He had his chance, and didn't get it done. I just don't have any faith in the guy as far as pitching in MLB.

I was talking like in a hypothetical situation where the Brewers hadn't signed Garza. That being said I'd also still stick with Estrada for the time being. People overrate Nelson who has a couple huge flaws in his game, and undervalue the sustained success Estrada has had as a starting pitcher the last couple years.

These commercials are killing me. Do we have to watch the same commercials, night after night, all freaking season?

Man, I'm not sure I can take this another 3-4 months.

I really hope Braun is saving all of his hitting to go on a tear when others (Lucroy) cool down. Just never figured he may struggle to hit .300 PEDs or not.

Again, how does a guy so good at defense never get known for it, almost like it was a secret that he could really play the field. Strange stuff. Awesome snag.

You mean the guy with the career 3.74 FIP and ERA+ of exactly league average?

Yes, clearly, he didn't get it done. And clearly, he didn't get tired after they jumped him up an additional 65 innings in 2012 over his previous career high and had him run completely out of gas down the stretch -- where he had an ERA over 7 in September.

My memory is of a guy who looked outmatched when we needed him most. My memory of him was of a guy who looked like he didn't belong on a major league roster.

I gotta think he is injured and is still the Brewers best option. He has won a couple games during his slump for the team

Yeah I'm not trying to dog on him too much like some fans but he just doesn't look like the Braun I remember. Could just be a slump though. Hope so anyways.

Huge flaws, lol, must be those huge flaws that have caused him to absolutely dominate AAA this year, and get better at every level in the minors.
