Awesome inning. Look at the runs we've given then. Walk because we're too scared to pitch to Goldschmidt with 2 outs and nobody on. An error and now a run. The error was pretty bad, he rushed it and I'm not sure he needed to.

Just a very frustrating night all around.

I really hope this isn't the beginning stretch that man of us have been fearing....that leads to the Cardinals catching us as most people seem to be expecting. We really haven't been playing well for the last week or so and the Cardinals seemingly can do nothing wrong - they aren't scoring much, but opponents have just flat out stopped scoring runs against them (and leaving a small army on the bases in the games I've watched).

The Cards has a series @ home v the Nats who are something like 2-18 @ Busch and now the Mets at home. I think we still need to see if the hitting can pick up the pitching - they aren't going to get 20-25 percent shutouts all year.

I have a sense one of the Brewers is going to get plunked - then the warnings will come.

I don't think anyone really thinks either of those were intentional, I would be pretty surprised to see a Brewer plunked.

I don't think they think they were intentional, either, but it wouldn't surprise me to see AZ retaliate. Hell, ATL hit a Rockie because the Rockie inadvertently hit Laird with a follow through.

I really didn't think that any of the HBP were intentional, but you never know how teams are going to view these things. If they want to hit someone this late in a two run game, then so be it. I'm sure it'll be tomorrow or Thursday if they're really going to.

Segura again!! Gutsy move going to third, but he made it. Now bring him in...
