2014-06-17 Brewers (Lohse) at Diamondbacks (Bolsinger), 8:40 PM CDT [Brewers win, 7-5]

Of course that won't make the sportscenter opener- it should as it was the ultimate Screw You a person could have. Let's replay the scenario:

1. Pitch 1 vs Braun goes way behind him.

2. Ump immediately walks out and was like what the hell was that?

3. Pitch 2 nails Braun to load bases

4. Pitcher gets tossed immediately.

5. Dbags dugout goes nuts high fiving the pitcher like he won the game. Including a fist bump from Gibson.

6. Pitch 1 vs Lucroy ... grand slam.

I can re-watch that over and over and over. Screw you Dbags

Man oh man did I miss a good one. I fell asleep in the 4th inning. I woke up at 330a to check the scores and recap and couldn't believe I missed everything. Agreeing all around, Gibson just isn't very smart. Simple little man, figuratively speaking.

I too fell asleep early, woke up, saw Luc hit a grand slam, but didn't know it was an "in your face" one! Awesome! Great win.

I know most of us want to see some retaliation when our guys get hit, and think it will keep other teams from hitting us, but I'm not really sure about that. I'm guilty of that thought often. When you really take a step back, does it actually protect anything? I don't think it does. It's more of a macho thing and probably causes more issues in the long run. Taking the high road is probably the best thing to do.

Listening to Phoenix sports talk this morning they were a bit baffled by Gibson's timing on the HBP but said it was probably justified after Lohse's HBP. Also hinting that TLR probably had some kind of influence on that type of incident too

Good stuff from Lohse and Luc

You know what? [The D-backs] won tough-guy points today, but I don't know where the stats are for those," said Lohse. "We won the game because of that. It was pretty unnecessary. The ball got away from me [against Owings]. You don't want that to happen. But you're going to play tough-guy stuff? Go ahead. We're winning games."

Do the Brewers expect more tense innings over the final two games of the series?

"I don't see any reason why people would -- we're not going to do anything," Lucroy said. "We're not trying to hit anybody. If they want to hit us, fine. We'll get on base and drive them in. I don't care. If you want to hit me, fine. I get hit all the time. I don't care. Whatever."

I was reading a D-Back forum earlier and most of those fans don't have a problem with Gibson ordering a hit on Braun, just the timing of it. They all think Braun is a low life who ruined the guy's life who left Braun's sample on his desk over the weekend. Of course he was suspended for not following protocol and never lost his job. It is amazing how fans think Braun is the only guy to ever take a PED and lie about it.

FSN Wisconsin is replaying the game right now and they are in the memorable inning so I gotta go watch. I wasn't home to see it live last night. I didn't get home until the bottom of the 8th.

Fun fact. ..with Bolsinger starting last night everyone is pushed back a day which means we wont face CY Collmenter* (*average starter but owns the Brewers it seems)

I thought most probables had Miley is starting tonight, but I thought I had seen on Twitter that it was Chase Anderson getting the call?
