Roenicke needs to bench Braun for a while. The guy needs a rest. I don't know what's wrong with him, but he's not right.

Couldn't agree more. He's been swinging at stuff that makes it look like he's blindfolded at the plate. His strikeout in the 7th was dumbfounding bad.

On a different note, I am fairly certain the Reds have either approached or surpassed my Cards level of dislike.

I don't know if the Reds could ever pass the hatred I have for the Cardinals. I respect their history. I just hate being the equivalent of their chew toy.

I am getting sick of the Mariners offense. I have Felix Hernandez on my fantasy team. He's thrown 15 straight scoreless innings, and I'm going to get a second straight no decision because the inept Mariners can't score a single run.

A loss is a loss; they're all frustrating and disappointing. Loved seeing the comeback tonight but hated seeing K-Rod give up that run in the 9th as it was basically the kiss of death against Chapman. Hopefully that's the last time the Brewers have to see him this weekend. I also didn't care for him buzzing Lucroy the way he did. With his speed, up and in is extremely dangerous.

Honestly, forget the footwork, forget the "mental" aspect, how in the world can a major league starting pitcher not successfully throw a routine ball to a player standing on a base without skipping it in the grass/dirt EVERY TIME? How??

This IMO is unacceptable. I pray he never attempts to field another hit/bunt again as long as he's on our team. :tongue

We are on national TV on Fox tonight. I hope they play better than they did last night. I almost wish we weren't. We never seem to play well when the lights are that bright. :(

They should get used to this if they are going to make the playoffs.

Is this site going downhill? No game thread... brutal.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.
