Still don't love Segura hitting 1st, but that 2 - 5 in the lineup ought to be really tough to navigate. Not sure why Davis needs a day off here for a guy like Schafer with his career .214/.285/.330 line, hopefully it is just a scheduled day off and nothing more.

Maybe it's the logic of "hey he's seeing the ball well right now... let's sit him and see if he handles the adversity of losing his stroke again" Like roenicke's comments about wang in spring training

Weeks must have a good line against nolasco. Surprised hes in against the righty.

Edit: yup, .474 with 2 homers and 4 rbi in 19 abs. Schafers also 1-2 off him so probably why hes starting as well. So wish that could be blue.

Remember what Yoda said:

Question. Why didn't Marco step on the rubber and pitch? I thought Gardenhire (sp) had to come out of the dugout right away in order to challenge. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe if Marco would have stepped on the rubber, it would have been to late to challenge.

Since he cant bat the pitcher 9th, perhaps Roenicke figured he had to insert someone who hits like a pitcher in the 9th spot instead

The batter has to be in the box and time cannot be called as well.... so.... the onus is not just on the pitcher.

Fair enough. I just thought I remembered this very thing happening to Roenicke earlier this season. where he wasn't allowed to challenge because he didn't come out of the dugout right away, and the pitcher already stepped on the rubber.

Wow, you're such a big man Fletcher. Just one of the countless MLB umpires with overinflated egos just itching for a fight and itching to eject somebody thinking they're a part of the show.

I hope I am just seeing things, because that looked foul on the replay to me. It looked like the ball passed in front of the pole, not behind it. Please tell me I'm wrong and that we didn't just blow 3 runs with a non-challenge.

Yeah, it really is getting sickening watching Marco Bombs so often...

Just got lucky on the Plouffe foul ball too.

Figure out how to keep Wang from Pit, move Estrada to long man and bring up Nelson. Just gives up way too many home runs. Awful.

Most years I would say Estrada is a serviceable #5, but if the Brewers truly plan to contend this year I think they need to make a move for an arm

They already have one. Jimmy Nelson.

Home runs are demoralizing to a team. Estrada is killing this club every give days.
