Pull the plug on Yo right there in the 4th with the bases loaded and go all-in with Lucroy and I bet it's tied or better right now.

That's a TLR move, but I agree with it. Can't do it all the time, but the pen has had some rest recently. I get sticking with Yo if your options are Herrera, Fulu, or Overbay, but Lucroy is the guy you want up with the bases loaded. It wasn't worth letting Yo bat just to squeeze that 5th inning out of him. You don't always win or lose the game late.

gallardo's recovery early on obviously was a mirage. The guy just isn't that good anymore... can we please get some one else?

Gennett hacks at 2 balls. Braun swings at Ball 4 and K's the next AB. Jean chases one WAY out of the zone.

We are really doing our best to help out the Twins tonight.

For as great of a hitter as Braun is, his one flaw is that he doesn't walk at the really high rate that some other elite hitters do. For whatever reason, he just swings at more pitches out of the strike zone than a guy of his skill level should given the fear he instills in many pitchers.

What a disappointing game. No reason why the Brewers should ever be losing to a horrible team like the Twins

Come on. The Twins are by no means great, but they aren't horrible either with a 26-29 record.

compared to the Brewers they are absolutely terrible. They have benefited from playing in a mediocre division. I expect them to lose 94+ games this year. An embarrassing night for the Brewers.

Braun's always been impatient. A great hitter like him doesn't need to have such an aggressive approach. He often swings a junk pitches. His walk numbers should be a lot higher.

He hits for such a high average he makes up for it, BB% doesn't matter, what matters is the OBP or really the wOBA. Since 2009 Braun has the 12th highest OBP and 5th highest wOBA among qualified hitters

Ok it has to be asked do the brewers pick up Yo Option. I thinking That Nelson will fill his spot in the future.

I'd pick it up. I expect them to be a serious contender again next year if the roster stays mostly the same.

Gallardo doesn't help us improve... he is obviously declining. Inserting a nelson and trading for a true ace makes us a legit world series contender. Gallardo/ estrada out and nelson/ ace in

If they're not going to pick up the option on Yo, they should seriously consider trading him. He's still a commodity if he's carrying an ERA 4.00ish or lower around the deadline. He might be one of the top guys on the block and can be marketed with the reasonable option year.

Even in a contending year you could argue they can put Nelson in the rotation and either not lose much or possible improve.
