Need assistance with wireless router..

I have a Netgear wireless router and this weekend the wireless part stopped working...

 

I've tried turning it off for 10 seconds, unpluging it.

 

tried updating the firmware, but keep getting told its the incorrect firmware (it is the correct one)

 

Of course the Netgear support site is completely useless... I'm not completely tech näive but I am clueless on this one...

 

More info... its a WRN2000v4.

not sure when we bought it, but its been a year or two.

 

I've even tried to reset to factory default.

The fact that it is saying the firmware is wrong could be part of the issue. Id probably start by downgrading the firmware to the former version to see if that solves the issue. When you logged into the configuration page did it show the WLAN as connected and were you broadcasting your SSID?
