2014-6-1 Cubs (Samardzjia) at Brewers (Lohse), 1:10 PM CDT [Brewers win, 9-0; Lohse CGS]

Crazy series of blowouts. Lohse could go the distance unless Ron wants to get someone some work. Guess Wang has probably been overworked lately, though that's a good thing.

Gennett's OPS has jumped from .691 to .744 in this game (so far)

Good, need to zip up the Scooter haters for awhile.

I don't think there's a lot of scooter 'haters', just guys that know he's about a .700 OPS guy who's OPS depends very heavily on his BA. Scooter is a nice guy to have, I like him, and hope he does well while we have him for cheap. I just don't think he's the world beater that a very vocal few thought he would be when he put up monster numbers at the end of 2013.

C'mon, I'm sure we can find something to complain about re Ron's decisions today...

Didn't have the foresight to rest Lucroy?

Should have told the stadium Ops folks not to close the roof b/c the storm would not arrive?

Lohse clearly should have been batting 3rd today?

Let's go Kyle... lock down the "Maddux"

Gotta Love ESPN.com.

BRaun's personal page on espn.com.

News: Braun went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer and two runs scored in Sunday's victory over the Cubs. (Sun Jun 1)

Spin: Braun got to the NL ERA leader Jeff Samardzija early with a two-run shot, which sparked a barrage of hits by the Brewers' offense. He's hit safely in seven of eight games, five of which have been multi-hit performances. Braun's batting average now sits at .327, which would mark a career-high if he can maintain it the rest of the way out.

Ya, except for that .332 he hit in 2011 when, you know, he won the MVP.

There are three things America will be known for 2000 years from now when they study this civilization: the Constitution, jazz music and baseball. They're the three most beautifully designed things this culture has ever produced. Gerald Early
