Time to get the party started. I think our team plays way better when we have an IGT started hours before game-time. We can also give thanks for our roof. Man the teams that didn't put a roof on their stadium sure have to sweat those rain delays lately!

 

I'm calling it early and say that Braun is back and is going to greet Cole with 2 home runs. 7-3 Brewers!

Per Haudricourt over at jsonline, Herrera has been recalled from AAA and Caleb was sent back to AAA, with Braun being re-instated from the DL and Ramirez going on it. So that answers the roster move questions for today, but no word yet on Gomez apparently. Gomez should get his suspension reduced - hopefully to just 1 day (I'd prefer it was removed entirely, but I doubt MLB does that).

I'm just begging for Gomez to hit one out off Cole tonight. Not sure if I want him to stand and watch it, or sprint around the bases as fast as possible. Either would be hilarious.

 

It seems that gomez actually hits really well when he's mad. That may be just the braves incident last year as reference but it seems like he can connect with his angry hacks now.

Well, so far, so bad. Estrada can't find the plate and when he does, it's crushed.

 

LOTS of game to go, though. In Marco I trust!

Here in Vegas the brewers are the odds on favorite to win the World Series at 5/1.

 

Doesn't "odds on favorite" mean you have better than even odds? Also, there's no way Vegas has the Brewers as the favorite to win the WS.

Nope. The local station casinos have the brewers as the favorite. I took a photo lol. I don't know if this will ever happen again. 5/1 to win the series and. 3/1 to win the nl pennant

I agree but switch estrada and thornburg if/ when marco struggles. Both thornburg and Nelson will be very good IMO

I wouldn't put too much stock into those websites. I prefer to get the numbers from the source itself

 

I suppose with the Hot start for the Brewers and the long shot odds at the beginning of the season everyone jumped on the bet and drove the odds way down. 5/1 is probably more a correction than a reflection of their actual chances. Still seems way out of whack though.
