BF.net needs to lift the ban on swearing for Gomez, our best hitter, bunting into a popout in that situation. Can't believe this team is able to win despite RRR's bufoonary. Hate roenicke, hate hate hate.

 

And then he let's Weeks steal to end the inning. Friggin idiot, RRR.

The steal I will give you, but I am pretty certain the bunt was on Gomez.

But don't give him any credit for going to the backup catcher in the 6th inning. Most managers would not do that.

 

Also, that did not look like a sac bunt. Gomez hasn't swung since getting hit in the wrist.

 

They were 2 for 2 on steals, but I will give you that. Weeks isn't overly fast anymore.

The why would be Ichiro getting pulled back and Soriano coming in. Credit RRR when he's due. He had Wooten ready. Wooten also got out of the inning. Everyone did their job.

If only there was something that Roenicke could have done in the 1st inning today to prevent one of those Yankee runs from scoring.
