You have not been missed, Schafer.

Plays some nice D... maybe he's just not getting enough ABs? Either way, he leaves a lot to be desired at the plate. I've never been too excited with him but it is what it is. I'd rather have him out there than Herrera.

Yeah, true enough. That's not saying much, though.

I don't have a problem with Schafer as a 4th OF type guy, it's just the people that are way too high on him and thinking he is a future "3 WAR" player that I don't understand.

I agree. I think I actually got into a pretty lengthy argument on this site regarding the whole "over-valuing" of prospects. And I think Schafer was the prospect in question.

Everyone's got an opinion, but I couldn't believe how many people last year thought that Gomez was expendable because of Logan Schafer.

Well. It could have been a lot worse, considering how bad Yo looked/how locked in the Reds were. One nice thing about the new sinkerballer strikethrowing Yo is that he got hit around with liners and ground balls and not home runs.

Except a lot of those pitches were up and were hit hard or hit into the outfield. Point is - they were still hits, and he hit a batter. Tonight hasn't been that great for him, but true, could have been worse.

Every time there is a fly ball at that park, I think it's going to be a homerun.

Try being there and figuring it out....
