Dynamic Set

A recent ESPN article stated

[Giancarlo] Stanton and Jose Fernandez give the Marlins perhaps the most dynamic set of teammates in the game.

Assuming he's talking about 1 pitcher, 1 position player:

1) is there anyone you would take over those two? Cabrera/Verlander or Strasburg/Harper or Trout/Weaver or Kershaw/Puig.

2) what two from the Brewers would you take? and where do you think they'd rank on the "Dynamic Set of Teammates" rankings?

If we're talking dynamic I think the pair would have to be Gomez and Peralta. I'd guess since Gomez is unarguably one of the most dynamic players in the game and since Peralta, while dynamic, is still a relative unknown on the national scale they would rank towards the middle of the pack.

Seems really vague and subjective. If we're talking best combined value of a pitcher and position player, I'd say take your pick between Verlander and Scherzer combined with Cabrera.

worthless discussion? it's all worthless lol. baseball, sports- its all a big distraction. that's the point. to take your mind off of stuff and shoot the breeze with your friends and talk and argue about who the greatest pitcher of the last decade has been etc. and when you're done- nobody's mad- you know why? because it doesn't really matter. and we all know that. but, its fun. that's why there is an entire forum that we all love called Brewerfan that gives us a place to talk about this "worthless" stuff. so, who would be your two?

as for a dynamic duo, lol. I agree espn was pretty vague. I think there's three distinct categories here:

*in terms of young duo to build a franchise around- i'd go Strasburg/harper.

*in terms of dynamic 'playmakers' (people you love to watch)- gomez is pretty near the top. he is exciting- both in a good way and bad way, but either way exciting. either he's getting chased on the basepaths or stealing 2nd and 3rd. love it. I also like watching k-rods delivery.

*in terms of best two players- i'd probably go Cabrera and verlander

Here's the whole paragraph.

Stanton and Jose Fernandez give the Marlins perhaps the most dynamic set of teammates in the game. They've helped perpetuate the sense of optimism that took hold in spring training, when scouts began buzzing about the team's dark-horse potential. The Marlins are 12-4 at home this year, and they have the second-best run differential in the NL at plus-22. If Stanton can refrain from pulled hamstrings and the other nagging injuries that forced him to miss a total of 85 games in the 2012 and '13 seasons, he's going to make a lot of noise.

Sizing up the MVP races: Rockies' Troy Tulowitzki, Angels' Mike Trout emerge as early leaders

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

That was my thinking as well.

Pshaw. We know it's going to Cabrera again.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.
