2014-04-30 Brewers (Garza) at Cardinals (Miller), 12:45 PM CDT [Day Baseball! #WCWW; Brewers lose, 9-3]

I'm almost positive they'll put him on the DL on Saturday and activate Schafer, which is a full week of playing a man down. It's just stupid but we always seem to do it. If for whatever reason Braun is healthy by Saturday, I really wonder what they would do. They could send Herrera back down, but doesn't he provide WAY more than Weeks? He can play 2b, along with SS, OF and C if absolutely necessary. He's better defensively, he's faster and he's a better hitter than Weeks. Only advantage that Weeks has is power, but he'd actually have to get on the field once in awhile first.

Way to run yourself right out of an inning. If you're going to attempt a double steal and you think you're out at second, stop and let the runner go home. At least make them get the out at home. I'm fine with running, but why end the inning on the bases there with a pretty hot hitter at the plate? Doesn't make much sense.

With Yadi on the bench I think it was a good agressive play. You just get caught sometimes. But I DO think the Cards stole the sign.

Just don't like ending the inning like that, it's not like the pitcher was at the plate.

Now I'm curious, what makes you think they stole the sign? They didn't seem to have any intention of throwing it back home, had Gennett been safe I think we get a run out of it.

The Cards are adept at sign stealing. You have to change the indicator very often to be safe. RRR should know that.

Given all the nonsense surrounding TLR and the ribbon board controversy from a few years back, this is irony, on a base level...

Wang has to pitch in this game, regardless of the score. Garza isn't pitching well, has a huge pitch count and will be lucky to get through 5 innings. The passed ball sure didn't help.

We just simply can't trot the same guys out there game after game, Wang needs to cover a couple innings regardless of the score.
