come on braun you're not a rookie...

I've said this many times in the past, but sometimes the pitcher just wins the battle. Not every out or even every strikeout is an abject failure or some pathetic effort by the batter. The pitcher made some good pitches. The last one was great. Looked like it was going to be close enough for Braun to protect and then dove out of the zone. The pitcher did his job.

Whenever our pitchers strike a guy out, we're all like, "Yeah! Great job! Nasty stuff!" When their guy does it, we're like, "Pathetic."

To be fair, Braun did get a mistake pitch that AB and couldn't take advantage.

Come on guys, happy thoughts. We're going to win this, and we're going to win it now. And my MLB.tv will crash again when it happens.

Can I call for an F-Bomb here? :)

Believe me, I've said my fair share of them in the last hour. :laughing

Sure. Happens.

Well I just dropped a real F bomb on that one. Wow that was literally right down the middle. I can't blame RR too much, the bullpen is just shot and he ended the last inning very well.

This game is just going to infuriate me. Wasted so, so many chances to score runs and win this game. Why can't we do anything at home? Not that we can't pull this one out, but our offense at home has been pretty, pretty awful.

If we lose this game, we didn't lose it now. We lost it in the 2nd and 3rd innings when we had golden opportunities to score and blew it. This game should never have gotten to this point. Too many squandered opportunities tonight.

Great. Just great. First time Fig throws more than two innings, he gives up what will be the game winner.

I can blame Roenicke. You give away an out by having Figaro hit and then leave him in to give up the game-winning HR?

I think Melvin is responsible for keeping Wang on the roster, but Roenicke doesn't like him so he's protesting by never using him.

That's all very true, but that last pitch wasn't close. If Braun thought it was a fastball low and away then he's an idiot. There's no need to hack at that anyways. The heat is on the pitcher, not Braun. He should know that patience in that situation is more important than swinging like a maniac.

I sure hope our guys have good at bats in the bottom. I would hate them trying for the two run solo shot and whiffing ugly.

Yes, in the early innings the Crew were very, very poor to cash in. Tomorrow's game will tell a lot about the team. I always worry we can get real ugly, real fast. Or we may get really pissed and play tomorrow like game 7 of the World Series we may visit this year.

Is this the same Wang who gave up a zillion runs last time out? Just checking, because it seems like we've anointed the kid as the next Rollie Fingers already.
