BBC's Orphan Black

Does anyone else watch this show besides me? I've found that I generally like most of the BBC imports which become regular shows here in the states, and I thought the original British version of The Office was better than it's remade counterpart here in the states.

 

I found the show completely by accident going through the broadcast On-Demand channel on my cable box looking for something to watch. The name of the show grabbed my attention, as did the plot description of the first episode, and after 10 minutes I was hooked.

 

Season 2 just kicked off last night.

I watched some of the S1 recap marathon yesterday. Tatiana Maslany's performances are freaking awesome. I do have to say I felt lost in the plotline, but that's probably mostly due to tuning in mid-S1.

 

My BBCAmerica show at the moment is Ripper Street. Another good ensemble cast drama with good acting... BBCAmerica is like a poor man's HBO, but without much quality dropoff imo.

Tatiana Maslany gave a brilliant performance in season 1. I'm looking forward to watching this season.

 

BBC certainly puts out some great shows. I enjoyed Sherlock, Luther, and Broadchurch. What am I missing? (Do not say Dr. who. I tried.)

This is one of the best shows on TV, and I hope that Maslany playing one character impersonating another character never grows old. It is ridiculous just how nuanced her performances are on that show.

I enjoy a few BBC shows and my wife loves Dr. Who. I didn't like the 11th doctor so I kind of tired of the show.

 

I also liked the BBC Office better than the American interpretation. At least while it was airing. Going back I like The Office a little better now than while it was on.

 

Reading a little about Orphan Black it looks interesting.

Orphan Black is a big hit with the wife so far. We have been watching the first season on Amazon prime.

 

She seems to like science fiction stuff as long as there is a good story. She liked BSG also. Up until the last season anyway.

Season 2 has been awesome so far, I'm glad you're enjoying season 1.
