Yup, coach cost the Brewers the game from a caught steeling.

Right, giving away outs is no big whoop. You get 27 of them, no one ever lost a game just giving away one.

He's not saying that, Im sure there are examples, but there are also plenty of examples where small ball lead to a team winning. All he is saying is that one play or two plays are not the reason we are losing tonight

Small ball has its time and place. Bunting with 2 strikes with a bench player and sending your catcher against a very good defensive catcher is not small ball, it's stupid ball.

Something is obviously not right with Segura. .267 OBP and a .298 SLG. How about we bench him for a while, and rest that shoulder? Hell, Wang's not being used as a pitcher, can he play shortstop? I mean, Bianchi must be hurt, too, because we're not seeing him.

agreed, it was a stupid move, not a move that cost us the game though.

Agreed, haven't seen Bianchi since boston I believe, or at least in any major capacity. We've given everyone else besides Ramirez and Gomez days off why can't we give him one

Yeah, in the scheme of things, this was rather irrelevant. Stupid, yes. Annoying, yes. Cost us the game? Uhhh.... Doubling down and quoting yourself that it cost us the game? Weird.

Same team, fellas. Easy now.

Coolcool,

I always show as much of the conversation, as long as it's not too long at any part, for context. Hope that's okay with you.

The game was tied in both Caught stealing. It's easy to see 6-2 score now and say it didn't matter. But if we score a run and it's 3-2 Milwaukee is Wooten out there for the 7th inning?

I would still imagine so, then Smith for the 8th and Krod for the 9th.

Why is Wang being left in there at this point? Limit the psychological damage and pull the kid.

Geez, ignore the kid and not get him any game action for weeks, then when he gets in, he blows up and he is just left there to fry?

Any positive that was gained from his first appearance is now long gone.

All the things that were working just a few days ago...are not working right now. Our pitching has been outstanding for the first few weeks of the season, but it's regressed a little. But the hitting really has taken a step back. It seems we're not exhibiting any patience at the plate.

Look at the OBPs of the hitters in our lineup tonight:

Gomez .384

Segura .267

Braun .298 <---???

Ramirez .388

Lucroy .403

Davis .283

Reynolds .267

Gennett .357

Nearly half our lineup has an OBP below .300. This is very disturbing to me.

Tonight sucks.

He just got the NL MVP to foul out.

Isn't this the point of using Wang, to get the outs to complete an out of control game and save the better RPs' arms?

It was 5-2 when he came in. The Brewers, coming into the game, had the best record in baseball. Were we conceding the game to Pittsburgh down by 3?

Now might be a good time to offer Wang back to Pittsburgh. After that exhibition, they might say no thanks.

I'm not a big fan of the whole idea. The last time the Brewers tried to "hide" a guy who obviously wasn't ready for the big leagues, Matt Ford, he never made it back to the big leagues. This is not good for the kid and it's not good for the Brewers.

No, but then he gave a HR and its 6-2. Then you add a few more runs, and at that point you do concede the game and let him finish out the inning.

It'd be different if he allowed a hit and walked the next two batters and you think to yourself, if you need to stay in the game you need 3 straight outs w/o allowing a run. But his 2pitch was hit out for a HR. And it's 6-2. Now he had Mercer/Tabata/Martin/and Alvarez at pitcher's counts when he gave up the knocks.

When Wang is brought in you're not conceding the game, you're giving him a chance at action 3runs down. The worst happened he gave up 6ERs. so be it. I want Wang to get his opportunities. I don't consider it throwing the white flag down 3runs.

Got to have an excuse in order to cut him loose in favor of some grizzled veteran with zero upside and zero future.

When you're getting rocked, there isn't much difference psychologically between giving up 3 runs and giving up 6 runs. You really think he'd feel that much better about his outing had he been pulled earlier?

No reason to use another arm.
