Right down the middle of the plate. Next time Estrada pitch smarter by pitching away. It's not complicated especially when your only maxing out at 88 mph.

Yep, Estrada is not trying to hit corners at all. He's up there just laying it down the middle of the plate on purpose and hoping the Cards just hit the ball right at someone.

If the Brewers win it means they're smart. If they lose, it means they're dumb. Makes perfect sense.

He can't fool the Cards with a 88 mph fastball down the center. He can't fool himself into believing his stuff is good enough to blow batters away for 6 innings by throwing a balloon down the middle of the plate.

Dude. Seriously. Go outside. Go for a walk or something. Take a deep breath. Turn the game off. You are coming off as much too personally invested and angry over this.

It's April.

Yes, he's always been an aggressive pitcher like that. It's how he pitches it has flaws. With his control he should be focusing on the outside part of the plate.

Do you really think hes just purposely trying to throw a fastball right down the middle?

It worked for Lynn last night

Because he fooled them all night by focusing on the outside part of the plate and set those pitches up. They had no clue what was coming and that's what smart pitching will do.

If only Estrada read your posts here. Too bad. He's missing out on a lot of coaching.

So the trick to pitching is just pitching outside, and you'll fool the batters? It's not mixing your pitches, changing speeds, moving around the strike zone with your fastball?

The Brewers were very smart when they won 9 games in a row. We now have a dumb team again. When the Cards got beat in the World Series? Dumb.. very dumb.

I'm sorry to pick on you, but you're really coming off like an old man shouting at people from his porch and doesn't really seem to have an idea of what's going on. Baseball is funny. Sometimes you're great, and sometimes you're bad. It's just how it is. The Brewers weren't going to win 100+ games..

Dumb hitting, stupid pitching get to me and i take it very personally.

Pitches like that are mistakes. No way you groove a fastball belt high in an 0-1 count. It is hard to call it stupid pitching, it is just bad execution. Chill out, if it was as easy as a catcher setting up and hitting the glove everytime no one would score runs.

Right now the Cards are taking advantage of mistakes while the Brewers are not.

You can pitch outside by mixing your pitches and changing speeds. Just have to locate and the Cards are the BEST in the game at locating.

Let it never be said baseball is not a mental sport, by anyone who has seen the Brewers completely collapse overnight because they are afraid of the Cardinals.

I believe it is a widely accepted fact that 90% of baseball is half mental
