Ed Sedar is the Shawn Slocum of the Brewers. Can't really understand how he is still a coach with year after year of pathetic gaffes.

It's the baserunning style the manager wants.

He wants runners to be thrown out at home? I'm sure he'd rather have the 3rd base coach make sane judgment calls.

I'll certainly be listening to the post game to figure out why Lohse was taken out. I'm shocked by this move.

I was even more shocked that he came out for the 9th inning...

For better or for worse RR is certainly managing the games to win now. Which is quite impressive considering he is at more or less a 23 man roster right now. Being aggressive with the hook and itching match-us would be a lot easier if used Wang as a specialist at least.

Still going to enjoy 10-2

Then why doesn't RRR do something about it? It's the same crap year after year with this guy.

Now only the Cards stand between us and free unlimited burgers

You mean Cards and Pirates.

isn't the Webb's promotion 12 straight wins? We are at 9 with 3 vs the Cards coming up

I thought it was only if the Brewers beat their winning streak record.

Why can't our coaches get through to Gomez about his stupid base running? The immature, over-aggressive, excited puppy dog stuff. Running Ron probably loves it. I think it's embarrassing ... and leads to outs.

Did he run through a stop sign?

I was referring to Gomez rounding second in ridiculous fashion on the bunt. The gaffe that got the whole thing started.

Gomez had his head down the entire time he was rounding second until he was a couple of steps past the base. He never bothered to look at the fielder to see if he might be in jeopardy, which seems like a very basic concept. I get that he plays with reckless abandon and that is an endearing quality in some respects, but I wouldn't mind seeing him tone it down a little.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

I have a hard time asking Gomez to change anything considering he's been the best player in the National League from 2013-2014. Maybe if he didn't make certain mistakes he could be even better, but there's something to be said about not tinkering with something that's working.

I do think that you can discuss base running a little more with Carlos, just so his brain can catch up with his feet more often. I don't think you want to take away his aggressiveness, but by going over scenarios and watching video, he should be able to learn a few things.

As for Ed on that play.... I almost can't fault him. I agree, with Braun and ARam coming up, it's not smart. That said, the 2b had his back turned when gomez got to third. With Gomez's speed and the 2b having to turn around and throw a bullet, I like my chances.

What a fun stretch of baseball. We are definitely getting the bounces right now, but we are also capitalizing on them. Lohse was huge today and we really needed that! I think it was the correct move to take him out at that point, even though I was cheering for him to stay.

Man, bring on the Red Birds!!!!!!!!!!

Chiming in late...I'll admit to having been in the DO NOT WANT camp when it came to signing Lohse, but Sunday's game went a ways toward turning my attitude around. It was fun to watch him locked in and dealing, even if it was against a Pirate "Sunday lineup."

It was a very Sunday crowd yesterday, at least in the central loge sections. 1:10 first pitch apparently now means "stroll in anytime between 1:10 and 1:50, paying no attention to whether you're making a row's worth of fans get up in the middle of a play. And then once your whole party is seated, someone get up for food." I get it, mostly, when families with young kids are involved, but some of these groups were all grownups. I didn't notice it as much in the same seats on Friday night.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

It's become more and more of a problem over the last 3-4 years. I've noticed it as well. I ALWAYS wait until between At Bats to get up or go back to my seat. I wish Ushers were instructed to enforce this. It's just simple etiquette.
