Really surprised Segura is playing giving the fact he has been getting beaten up. And not sure why you take out Davis to play Schafer.

At first when I saw the lineup I was quite upset but when you look at Morton's righty lefty splits it actually makes sense. I think the only one getting an off day to have an off day is Lucroy.

The defense has shown up today.

The thing about Segura's slump is not so much that he's just not getting hits, it's how he's been hacking at just about everything and rolling the ball over. Thankfully he's not depended on as a big run producer, but it the lack of line drives off his bat is a bit concerning - to me at least. Everything seems like a soft roller to an infielder - granted he was robbed by Ishikawa in the 1st.

The Brewers are backwards when the opponent is trying to steal second. That should have been Scooter's base to cover, not Segura's. The same thing happened last night when it should have been Segura covering.

Wow, that was a hose from Gomez.

What are we doing on covering the bases here? Unless there is some sort of extreme with the hitter only hitting it on the ground to one side, why are we moving the infielder on the pull side? It makes no sense and it's cost us twice now. That should have been a groundout to short, just as last night should have been a ground out to second.

It's like we're trying to be too cute and it just cost us a run. I can sorta see it if a guy is throwing super super hard and you're not expecting the hitter to pull it, but Lohse certainly doesn't fit that bill.

You have to consider moving Segura to 7th or 8th in the order at this point.

Who do you put at second? Segura is cold right now, but he really hasn't been that bad.

Lucroy would be good hitting 2nd but that has nothing to do with Segura and more about getting him more PAs over the season. Won't happen because then Roenicke wouldn't be able to "make things happen" and have the #2 hitter bunt.

Good point, I think Lucroy at #2 would work well. (Especially since he has the highest OBP on the team right now). But for today I wouldn't want any of Overbay/Schafer/Gennett/Maldonado hitting higher in the order.
