I like how Roenicke won't challenge a call unless he's 100% certain he'll win, but in the meantime it was the 6th inning. In the 7th and after, managers can't challenge anymore. Might as well go for it in the 6th.

First game of the season I can't watch and Braun finally gets the two HRs I've been waiting for all offseason.

No kidding. It's the one area of the game where the manager can make a direct, immediate and obvious impact on the game. If I understand the challenge system correctly, there should be almost no consequence to using the challenge in the sixth inning with 2 outs, because from the 7th inning on the umpires can institute challenges for close plays.

It should be a no brainer in that scenario. RR gets two steps out of the dugout and challenges.

Classy.

The game feed on ESPN Gamecast is just terrible. I have to sift through all sorts of crap just to see the last play.

Totally agree. It used to be nice and clean and easy to use. Now they incorporate so much stuff it's ridiculous.

Yep that's what I'm following, Its nice to read some tweets from Hardicourt or McCalvy. But in doing so, when have those two ever tweeted something like that? And I'm positive I've seen a few other teams twitterfeed with just as classless tweets before. Do they know they are on ESPN Gamecast's Game feed?

I love how BA and BS were trying to justify putting Rickie in for "offense" in that situation. I knew it would have resulted in a ground out or fly out. Scooter has been hitting well, just let him continue to hit. He at least gives you a shot of scoring a run

Why pinch hit Weeks for Gennett there? who's 2 for 2? And you're up 3runs? Do the Phillies not have another LHP in their bullpen? I'm just confused because it wastes a Pinch hitter for the Pitcher coming up. And how about later in the game if the score becomes tied and goes extras?
