to second Mass, with these kids its much more than about baseball for them coming over. Mallen like all other signees will attend the Academy, sit in classes learning English, learning how to adjust to American lifestyle, and etc. He will get at least one year in the DSL and hopefully be over in Spring of 2015

I hope he gets cured of that high leg kick right away, that's an awfully complicated timing mechanism.

It looks like more a motion to keep his hips in than a timing thing to me. It should be easy to quiet since his hands and wrists are doing most of the hitting.

I'm not saying he's the same type of hitter, especially at his age, height, and weight, but his leg kick/timing mechanism really looks like what Alfonso Soriano does. Again, not comparing them as the same type of hitter or I think he could produce like Soriano, I just really thought his leg kick / back side gather is very similar to Soriano
