2014-04-05 Brewers (Peralta) at Red Sox (Buchholz), 6:10 PM CDT [Brewers win in 11, 7-6]

I agree that the call should've been challenged, but your statement that the lack of a challenge was "reason enough to fire Roenicke immediately" is just silly.

Not really. His list of blunders is long enough to stretch from Wisconsin to Michigan. He's without a doubt one of the worst managers this team has ever had. Consistently poor lineup and bullpen decisions, bad at defensive adjustments, bad at substitutions, and low baseball IQ.

No way.. Lay off the highlife.

About 27 out of the 30 MLB managers fit that category. So many decisions in baseball are subjective. RR has his issues, but he does more right than the does wrong. The Red Sox announcers have been praising the Brewers all series for their aggressiveness at the plate and on the bases.

Most MLB managers are pretty mediocre. Roenicke is another goof in a long line of goofs. IMO Francona is the best manager in MLB by far.

Agreed, but would the Brewers actually hire someone of that caliber even if they fired Roenicke--and Melvin? Doubtful.

I've got a bad feeling about this game. Too many wasted opportunities. Base loaded 2 outs in the 10th and the 1st and 3rd with 0 outs back in the 6th. Knowing how unlucky the Brewers are, I wouldn't be surprised if the Sox win on a walkoff by some bum like Napoli or Nava. I hope they prove me wrong and rock Badenhop next inning.

You're right. I don't think they would spend big money on a guy like Francona. Would you try and convince Jim Leyland to come out of retirement?
