There's a special place in hell for people that steal catalytic converters.

I manage an auto repair shop. A few years back somebody went through my lot with a sawzall and swiped nine catalytic converters from my customer's cars. That was not a good day.

The Brewers being bumped to the Lake for a pre-season Packer game.

Amen! This has been going on for as long as I remember (Brewer's getting bumped to a "lesser" station for a meaningless Packer game). I could be wrong, but this may also be the case when the Brewers are in the play offs and there is a conflict with a Packer game.

Actually, I think in 2008 there was a game conflict when the Brewers made the post-season, and the Brewers did stay on WTMJ.

That "stupid ice bucket challenge" has helped to raise over $50 million for the ALS Association.

http://www.alsa.org/news/media/press-releases/ice-bucket-challenge-082214.html

Yep. Good for them.

It's also wasted hundreds of thousands of gallons of clean water and huge amounts of energy.

Considering the current state of drought in our country: http://www.drought.gov/drought/content/products-current-drought-and-monitoring-drought-indicators/us-drought-monitor

Or the world wide lack of clean water: http://water.org/water-crisis/water-facts/water/

You want to donate money, donate money. You want to shame your friends into donating money, go ahead and post on facebook about how you donated money to charity. You want to show yourself dumping water on your head to avoid donating money to charity, well... yeah.

There is no shortage of water in WI. Not sure how dumping a bucket of water in WI does anything to impact the drought in Arizona, Africa, or anywhere else.

Stupid question but if you dump the water on your head don't you still have to donate?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ice_Bucket_Challenge

The challenge dares nominated participants to be filmed having a bucket of ice water poured on their heads and challenging others to do the same. A common stipulation is that nominated people have 24 hours to comply or forfeit by way of a charitable financial donation

No question you don't HAVE to donate, and I'm sure many people don't. Although most people I know have donated (or at least saud they have.)

At the same time, all the publicity has generated people to donate (myself included) even if they haven't participated in the challenge. So it seems like a win/win to me...

Many people are dumping the water and making donations. Some people complete the challenge and then pledge a donation if the people they challenge complete it as well.

At the end of the day, spending any finite resource (like "spending" buckets of water to help generate donations) has the potential to be viewed by some people as a wise use of resources and by others as a complete waste. So be it. If people want to dump buckets of water on themselves to help raise money for the ALS association, good for them. If others want to donate money to help bring water to parts of the world that need it, good for them too.

If someone wants to shame or guilt someone else to make any kind of donation, that does bug me. But at the same time, someone who unwillingly makes a donation only out of guilt or shame needs to do a better job of standing up to the peer pressure IMHO and spend/donate their resources as they see fit.

Yahoo Fantasy Football site breaking down mid draft last night!!! Not happy. Now I have to input all the players up to that point and we have to start the draft from there on another night. The positive, I get one more draft night!

Stub Hub allows users to do a search that excludes alcohol-free sections but not an option to search only for alcohol-free sections. Those sections exist for a reason. Seems logical that they would allow users to seek out those sections when they do a search.

If you know the section numbers you can click on the section itself on the seating chart and it will show all the seats available for that section.

The NFL season starts way too early. It needs to be pushed back at least a month so those freezing February and early March Sundays can be spent watching football and the beautiful, warm September Sundays can be spent outside or watching the Brewers.

I agree. I just can't get into watching football when its still 105 degrees out

^^^^ THIS

I have tickets to the Marlins game this week, and the only reason I'm going is because my wife doesn't think she's ever seen the Marlins before. I'm done with this season, thank god the Packers are here so I can save my sanity.

I am 33 years old and I have arthritis in my big toe. There are 2 possible treatments...custom orthotics and/or surgery. It would cost me more out of pocket to get the orthotics than it would to have surgery.

Try to avoid surgery at all costs! Go with the orthotics.
