2013 Playoffs LATEST: "CARDS LOSE! CARDS LOSE!" Boston Red Sox 2013 World Series Champions.

My recollection could be off but I'm pretty sure plenty of teams have come back from down 3-2 in the World Series.

I think the comment you heard was regarding coming back from a 3-2 deficit to win games 6 & 7 on the road in the World Series. The last time that happened was 1979 with the Pirates beating the Orioles in Baltimore the final 2 games.

I wasn't super enthusiastic about more fuel for the Boston-fan-hubris machine, but anyone but the Cardinals, so OK. Here's hoping the Red Sox players do some shaving soon. Fire up the hot stove.

Also, not to be overlooked is the (blessed) end of the broadcast career of Tim McCarver.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

This World Series was like most presidential elections - one team (candidate) has to win, but I'm still going to be kind of upset regardless of which team/candidate does.
