Has anyone used COGNOS?

At my current job we are switching from a database where we get data dumps and then configure that data into reports into Excel. But we are going to be movng from that to COGNOS where we can build the report and it will just auto update every day week or monthly.

 

I have some questions first are there any good books out there like Mr. Excel? Also is there any kind of classes I could sign up for that would take me from beginner to intermediate or advanced? Any sites that have some good tutorials unfortunately I can't use Youtube at work.
