Milwaukee Bucks Thread 2009–2010 (part 2)

stalton

Just got back from Sconi and was lucky enough to catch the game against Memphis. What impressed me about that win was that they had no business winning that game. They stole it. They made far too many mistakes and their defense wasn't great the entire game but in the end did just enough to win the game. I think that is a good sign this late in the season.

Last night's win was impressive though. To come back after getting beat by the Clips on national TV a week or so ago and kind of make a statement to them was nice to see, it hasn't been that way in a while. I love the intensity they play with and hope it keeps up in the playoffs.

Wow... I can't believe that just happened. That looked terrible. I pray that was a disclocation, but I'm pretty sure that it's broken.

Unfortunately, there probably goes the Bucks chances at a first-round upset in the playoffs. I hope Bogut is alright, and it won't be anything long term. Wow.

Did anyone just see Andrew Bogut's injury?

That one is up there with Geoff Jenkins' ankle.

I just hope he's back for the 2010-2011 season.

I saw it -- I sure hope he is fine. Stating the obvious but the Bucks are a completely different team without Bogut.

Per Gery Woelfel: No broken bones but a "slight" dislocation.
Also heard there is some concern about his wrist, and that there will be further testing.

Well, I guess that is relatively good news on what looked to be much worse. But, I would be very surprised if Bogut was able to make a return this year.

Tough to swallow after a great season but without Bogut the Bucks are mediocre at best. It's too bad because they could have potentially stolen a first round series and gotten their feet wet a little bit in the playoffs.

Words cant even comprehend. Going from the high of buying my playoff tickets to a few hours later seeing Bogut and with him our whole season go down the drain. Gery Woelfel should just disappear of the face of the planet for giving me a sliver of hope only for me to be awakened by a text this morning to the cold reality saying "Bogut out for season. Dislocated elbow, sprained wrist, and broken hand."

He's out for the year 99.9% I would assume. Maybe I can hold my breath and hope for a miracle if he doesn't need surgery and he could come back with some sort of robo arm for the playoffs but that's not realistic.

The only positive I can even squeeze from this is that at least it wasn't his back.

I think I'm going to go cry now.

One of Brian Butch's Bakersfield teammates said on twitter that he (Butch) is getting called up. Didn't know what team. Bucks would have to wait until Darnell Jackson's contract is up, which I think is tomorrow.

Don't know if Butch is a good fit...he can score, but I think the Bucks miss Bogut's defense most when he's out. That's probably why we always seem to hang around even when Bogut has an "off" night. Wisconsin ties aside, Greg Stiemsma would be great IMO...he's not a replacement by any means, but he looks like the type of dominant defensive backup center that good teams always have. And...3.6 blocks per game!

If they got Butch and actually played him, it'd be because they're trying to get some offense out of the 5 spot. I'd rather see him suck than Primoz Brezec I guess.

I'd go totally small and play Ersan at center and just run run run.
