Per ESPN: Braun Tests Positive, May Face 50 Game Suspension… (Part 3, Appeal underway)

Every indication is that 50 games suspension will stand. No appeal has ever been successful

 

It is this type of reporting that makes me long for the days when news wasn't reported with at least a small source of credibility. To simply report that the suspension will stand only because no appeal has ever been successful is yet another example of how lousy journalism is today.

 

Well, he possibly already knows the outcome, but has been "warned" by MLB not to say anything and this is his way of looking "smart" when the announce is made.

 

 

Also his way of covering himself if it's overturned.

Either that or ESPN wants to make an exoneration look even more dramatic. Not that I'm much into interpreting spin, but I did have that thought upon reading that tweet.

 

At least the uncertainty should be reduced soon. That'll be good either way.

Still expecting the suspension. I will be out until about 7 tonight and will expect to come home and see he was suspended. Will be giddy as hell if he gets off though

Like I said, if it is announced today - suspension, tomorrow, no suspension.

 

 

Although.....everyone has said that as SOON as MLB finds out, they would announce it, ASAP, per the rules, no frills, just business.

 

With all of this hulabaloo the past 24-36 hours, it does seem like this is being "planned" and withheld longer than it needs to be...that is fishy. Why would MLB wait to announce it JUST before he reports, almost in a screw you sort of way to put a damper on him in camp?? Seems odd that MLB would hold it.
