Did Nix seriously bat 3rd today? After not having a major league at-bat all year? Good grief. This robotic 'batting order by position' thing is beyond pathetic...

Also, why the hell wasn't Kendall sitting today? Day game after a night game. Kendall is older than dust, and has been hitting like crap lately. Rivera hasn't started since his outstanding game against the Nationals. What possible reason is there to give Rivera as little playing time as he has gotten all year? It's just stupid. Be prepared for Kendall to continue to wear down, and get even worse as the season drags on.

 

In spite of the team's success, I really think Ned's managing is as bad as it's ever been. I hope it doesn't end up affecting the team enough to cost them a playoff spot - but I'm not too confident.
