What's NOT bugging you? (2013 – 2019)

The other night, I was watching the Bucks game on TV and replaying a DVR version of the Brewers' ST game. I had my two boys sitting on the arms of my chair watching the Brewers and bugging me about going to see a game this year.

Raising them right! :)

Now, I just need to execute my get-away-to-AZ-spring-training-vacation plans and they will be BFF! (Brewer Fans Forever)

My niece's grandfather is attempting to sway her fandom by sending Alabama-related baby clothes. I will have to rectify this with Brewers and Packers baby stuff.

My brother is also a traitor and has switched his fandom to the Rockies, so it will be an uphill battle.

Well since I posted in what's bugging me. I'll say that what's not bugging me is being allowed to go back to work in a less capacity than before, but working tomorrow for the first time since March 16th. This site will appreciate the less posts I give I'm sure with less free time ;)

I've decided to hike the 220 mile John Muir trail in 2015 over 3 weeks.

I am thoroughly excited.

Quoting myself, in bad taste, but this thread has been dormant for too long. I'm 5 weeks out from my trip, almost as prepared as I could be, and completely excited and nervous at the same time.

"Mile Mile and a Half" is a documentary on Netflix about a group of people hiking the John Muir.

It's a pretty amazing documentary. I cannot believe how much those guys carried on their backs (I might top out at 40lbs on my heaviest day, one of them was pushing 70 with all the camera gear).

Scooter Gennett's game promo on the radio makes me laugh every time I hear it. It's great! So many players sound so wooden when talking but he definitely has personality.

It's hawing family night at the ballpark, with my brother's and sister's families (two nieces and two nephews) joining us. No relish tray drama with these relatives!

Supposedly davego and his daughter will also be in attendance, and if he and I cross paths, it would be the first time since Ben Sheets' last Brewers appearance (9/27/2008).

Wednesday's game (see post above) went very well, with everyone except I suppose the Padres having a good time. *waving again at davego*

Before the game, our ticket rep gave each of the nephews and nieces a mini pack of baseball cards. The youngest nephew (age 9 and deeply into baseball) opened his immediately and upon seeing one of the cards, said, "Anthony Rizzo?! I hate that guy! I'm going to throw this away!"

We persuaded him to hang onto the card in case he could trade it to a Cubs fan, but I couldn't be prouder of the knee jerk sentiment. My boy! ;)

Smoke, a bad shoe and as a result a bruised foot forced me off the trail, but I went 65 miles in the back country and enjoyed some amazing sights.

Just one of the photospheres I took.

I'll be posting more on my website (Eventually).

Started Radiation/Chemo. 2days in already having nausea issues. They don't tell you theres going to be a blinding flash directly in to your eyes to keep your eyes closed so you're not having these problems. Even on the 2nd day keeping my eyes shut it's still leaves that fuzziness from a blinding flash when opening my eyes. That feeling combined with how tight the mask I wear on my face is to my forehead makes it easy to be sensitive to light and a kind of "Aura" headache. Not strong, just kinda a nuisance.

The Chemo was easy/quicker than told. I think they're giving me a very low dose. No problems with that at the end of the day. I want blinders or something like they wear in a um suntan booth? whatever it's called. Of course it wouldn't fit the mask. Maybe just position over the mask for the radiation. Think that's possible?

So, I'm a little past this update. But what's not bugging me is Cancer anymore as my Dr. gave me the news of my MRI being perfectly clean showing nothing of concern. That was Aug 21st. I've also gone back to working normally without restriction. Next MRI will happen end November I believe.

I basically went through a 5month battle. So lucky to get by so easy. I feel like I cheated the normal cancer experience. I worked in a less capacity within 1month of diagnosis and was back to working full capacity in 5. Aside from occasional nausea and fatigue causing 9+hrs sleeping daily, I cant really think of any tough part to the whole process.

That's awesome! Congrats!

We were able to sell our house just when we basically decided to take it off of the market, plus we got pretty close to our asking price. Then within 3 days of signing that contract we found our dream home on a huge lot for way less then we figured we would have to spend. Its been a great week. Still terrified that the home inspection or appraisal will go horribly wrong; I have never had to sell a house before.

I think you'll be fine. It seems that radon is the most common issue, and sellers generally are asked to take care of that. A Radon mitigation system costs a little under a thousand dollars.

Outside of radon, the buyer may ask you to address little stuff; if you have a realtor, that person will likely have people on hand to make those repairs. The buyers are likely to be just as anxious to close as you are, so I doubt that they'll be unreasonable.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.
