After being laid off work on 12/22/14 I am now enrolled in MATC. 2014 can suck it.

[sarcasm]Merry #$*%!@& Christmas!!![/sarcasm]

I know right. Wait IKR. Have to fit in with the young guys. Have to brush up on my 1337.

First day of school down. First day of school since 1994. I plan to come out of this better than when I was laid off. I will at least have a 2 year degree under my belt. Find a field that fits my personality better.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

My was wife at a bachelorette party last night and apparently slapped a guy just because he was a Cardinals fan.

Why was some male Cardinals fan at a bachelorette party to begin with? Was he supposed to be "the entertainment?"

If he was a stripper I would have loved the story even more. No, he was in town for business or something and they ran into him at a bar. The bride to be also slapped him.

I usually get all giddy over the rockheads who get tossed around the streets of Pamplona during the running of the bulls festival, but that takes place in July.

Imagine my glee when I see this news from over the weekend:

http://www.foxnews.com/world/2015/02/15/american-youth-is-recovering-from-serious-goring-during-spanish-carnival-bull/

Today's rockhead is Benjamin Miller, a 20 year old from Georgia, and he suffered injuries to his back, thighs and. . .sphincter!

"It's not the worst injury I've seen, but it's the biggest goring wound I've ever had to operate on," (Surgeon Enrique) Crespo told The Associated Press.

Get Well Soon, Benjamin. Hopefully you will recover in time to warn your friends about the dangers of messing with animals, and maybe not use their deaths for your amusement.

Taking this from the "what's bugging you thread" my contractor determined I don't have to re-pipe for my bathroom after all; the pipes aren't original and still should be good for many years. This will save me a lot of money and actually makes my badly needed bathroom remodel pretty darn cheap. I will be without a shower in my house for about a week though so I get to shower with all the retired guys at the YMCA every morning. I am a little concerned about mold; but so long as there isn't a huge infestation it probably shouldn't be a big deal.

3 days in a row of Parks and Rec on the Esquire Network. Which apparently only shows Parks and Rec and shows about parents abusing their children through sports.

I guess you're the one who watches that channel. We just started getting it recently on our cable package and I don't think I've watched it once.

The only thing I've ever watched on it is Parks and Rec. They ran the first 6 seasons all weekend and they do 2 hour blocks like 4 times a day (maybe an exaggeration). The only other shows I think they even show are Friday Night Tykes where adults yell at and abuse 10 year olds who play football and The Short Game where parents yell at and abuse 8 year old who play golf.

I wasn't there, but my guess is it was Tony LaRussa, who stumbled into the wrong bar.

I want to say the Brew Dogs guys have a show on esquire, which I've enjoyed... as I'm a bit of a beer nerd. Although, I could be completely wrong on the network as I don't have cable and only watch with friends.

They have a decent movie on that channel now and then. We get AT&T Uverse and I had no idea that we got it. I discovered it when they had one of their preview weekends where most everything comes in and I was just clicking around channels one by one. We don't get most of the channels around it and the ones that come in are Lifetime type things.

They generally group types of channels together but odd ones are here and there. Another odd channel that's moved around and changed names is AWE, formerly the Wealth Channel. There's lots of super luxury shopping and cruises and what not but some unusual history shows. The one that I find kind of mind boggling is a 2 or 3 part series on Marijuana that is mostly about its health benefits. Also an entertaining cooking show called Secret Meat Business.

Another one I'll look at on rare occasions is China News Network, 3600, on AT&T. Everything around it is blocked. I guess its for bilingual Chinese? They often have lots of video of events around the world and they have local correspondents as well. Its interesting to see something like an English speaking Russian reporter talking while some event is occurring in Russia.

I did not know there was an Esquire Network, probably because their target audience is not likely to be me. But now I'm curious to see if we get it at home, as I would watch Parks & Rec reruns.

Both could alternatively be titled "Dance Moms, but with Dads"
