CM Punk; WWE Has Me Hooked Again (2012 Official Pro Wrestling Thread)

BrewCrewForever

thought it was a pretty good raw last night. I agree the laurinaitis stuff is pure gold, with him not opening up ryders medical clearance and the cm punk stuff. not sure where they are going with jericho these days. how long can they keep him not talking or wrestling.

on a side note, it was just announced that evan bourne failed the wwe wellness policy for the second time and is suspended 60 days, got to think he is done in the wwe. air boom could have been a great tag team especially since their depth is so weak in the division.

Yeah, Bourne is gone is he failed again. Vince won't keep him around. We'll see him in the TNA X-Division soon enough. Too bad, because I agree that the tag division needed them. Although, the tag division has been dead for awhile. Not sure who will feud with Primo and Epico. There really aren't any tag teams out there anymore.

They should just shut the tag team division down until they can create some teams in developmental or something.

i think they are, i know they were looking at bringing in the kings of wrestling among others. the problem is that there were only 2 real tag teams on raw. i really miss the days of the huge tag teams in the 90's.

It's weird when I watch TNA and they aren't a team anymore. Buh Buh Ray is still awesome on the mic, though.

I would love them back in WWE if they brought back Spike, Sign Guy, and The Quintessential Stud Muffin Joel Gertner. Too bad Big Dick is gone.

The Jericho thing is getting really old to me. 3 weeks now, no words, one "match" that he tagged in, worked the crowd then walked out. I mean, I got it the first time but this is just getting stupid now.

i'm sure there will be one more RAW like that, and at the Royal Rumble "she" will come out.

I'm loving this Jericho stuff. It's something different every time with him. We all know what he's going for, and it's working. Takes a little time to go from cheers to boos without speaking, but he's getting it done. Makes people tune in to see what he'll do next.

I seriously wanna know what that guy does that he can go can travel to, and attend, so many WWE shows. It's gotta cost him tens of thousands of dollars per year.

There was a story several years ago about a guy who was always ringside with signs (not sure if it's the same guy as the one we're talking about now), but I think the story was that his wife died very young, and he was either getting his money from her life insurance, or from a wrongful death suit or settlement. . .anyway, he was very despondent and he found happiness in the WWE, and so it became a part of his life to travel around to different events with some clever signs.

This was my favorite of the Jericho comeback journey so far. The fans finally started to catch on more that they are supposed to be booing him. I think it will take a while to see if it's making people tune in. The ratings have been pretty awful lately, and have dropped in the second hour when he has been on. They aren't out for this week yet, but with no football hopefully they were better numbers. He's really never been a big-time draw, but this eventual Punk feud is probably not expected to sell PPV's since they have Rock/Cena on top at Mania. That makes sense, too, since Punk has been a flop as far as selling PPV's and moving the needle on ratings since they dropped the ball on the "Summer of Punk" storyline.

I'm watching the '07 Rumble at the moment. Bradshaw is what a heel commentator should sound like. Killer work. I couldn't stand him as a wrestler, because he really needed a Manssiere, and I hated the JBL gimmick, but as the heel commentator (especially in Batista vs Kennedy) he was awesome. I wasn't watching the product at the time, so this is the first I have ever heard him do it.

Watching this really just again pounds home how bad the commentary in general is now. JR is absolutely awesome in the Cena/Umaga match. Umaga was really good for a big dude.

Also, I would still want to watch Flair say "woo" when he's 80.

Lol, it was best when he'd really get into it and start bouncing off the ropes and strutting around. Taking off his jacket, doing elbow drops. WOO! You'll love this.
This is probably my favorite one right here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xUV1CMDt1Vc

I prefer when he was in NWA/WCW. This is my favorite:

"Why don't you get a Mercedes-Benz and be a real man?!"

He's the greatest the business has ever known, and he always will be. Whether it's in the ring or on the mic, no one will ever approach him.
