side note, wwe announced that their network will be a premium subscription service like hbo

http://www.sescoops.com/wwe-annouces-the-wwe-network-will-be-a-premium-subscription-channel/

depending on how expensive it would be, it could work. if they plan is to have pay per views minus the big 4 on there, it may bring in people to subscribe. would be very interesting to watch matches from

the problem is that unless the rate is around what hbo costs, its going to scare people away. if they charge that then the 60 dollar PPV's are a thing of the past.

very interested to see what they do with the maddox - ryback match next week. Obviously Maddox can no longer be a ref. Also as obvious Ryback loosing clean would ruin the momentum that he has. Best guess is that punk or heyman interfers and Maddox wins. If he looses this match his WWE days are over i would think.

Maddox is a really good talker - I didn't love his promo, but I'm sure he was directed to do the timid thing. He's pretty decent in the ring, too. I hope they don't give up on him.

I'm watching NXT right now, and can't wait to see Bray Wyatt come up to the main roster. The guy may have the most original act the WWE has seen in a decade.

Don't know if any of you guys have seen this too, but it looks like the SuperDome will be hosting WrestleMania 30. Or at least it is highly rumored to. I think that would be pretty cool. Could get a big crowd, and it would be incredibly loud in there too.

changing the subject but just saw that JBL is doing smackdown commentary fulltime now. i have really enjoyed his work filling in for Jerry. May actually start making an effort to watch smackdown. i am normally a RAW only person.

if i get 2 hrs of this, i will be tuning in.

i think he and matthews could be very entertaining

sort of on the same subject, anyone else also think Lawler is going heel in the next few weeks. After the heart attack Cole showed a different side and I don't think he can be the heel announced he was. I can see Lawler cutting a promo about how nobody really cared about him after the heart attack, that the show still went on, the fans didn't care what was going on backstage and at the hospital, etc. I found heel michael cole funny at first but annoying at the end. I think it would be a good move for the wwe.

I don't see it happening. I don't think they want a guy coming back after a big health scare to start getting booed right away. That just wouldn't seem right.

This is Jack Burton in the Pork Chop Express, and I'm talkin' to whoever's listenin' out there.

NXT is the only WWE show I go out of the way to watch on a regular basis. On a related note, the WWE is staying on top of removing footage from Youtube. Rarely will NXT episodes last more than a day or two before they are taken down. They are a little slower with dailymotion.

You mentioned Bray Wyatt. I wanted to post the different promos/vignettes produced by the students at Full Sail, but they have all been removed. Bray Wyatt returned to NXT this week. He was a "manager" of Brodie Lee, who now goes by Luke Harper. Hopefully he makes the WWE roster soon. It bothers me that the creative team hasn't come up with anything for Dean Ambrose yet. His storyline/angle with Mick Foley would have been great, but Mick backed out.

The thing I don't get about what they're not doing with Ambrose is that the guy can be a heat magnet... he doesn't necessarily need a program with Foley or pre-produced vignettes to get over.

Made even stranger that they're not really using him much with NXT either, though I think I read that he wrestled at their last set of tapings. His program with Regal to close down FCW was just about the best thing that happened in wrestling this year and then all the sudden, nothing.

Punk is just so lacking in heat that they had to put him in the Lawler thing. I hope next week he talks about how Owen Hart should have learned how to use a harness. What complete garbage the WWE is.

I thought it was actually pretty good. Punk is by far the best at being a heel WWE has right now.

It was just cheap heat. Doesn't build to anything at all. I turned it off before it even got to the fake heart attack and Foley. It was go away heat, that's not heel heat.

My comment had nothing to do with heat. Punk is just a great heel. A typical WWE heel now plays one of two characters. He either hates the fans or hates whatever face he's feuding with at the time. Punk does so much more than that. He plays with the crowd during matches and promos. He antagonizes everyone - fan, opponent, announcer, referee, etc. The only one even close to him in heel ability is Ziggler and he's still light years away from Punk's level.

I will totally agree Punk is lacking heat but it's because the fans still cheer him. He still gets a good face pop every time he comes out.
